Thanks. Ironically I changed the open in a new window option a few minutes ago. I agree, it is annoying.

    Hi,
Well first off, the PR6 is amazing, you really need to tap into it by adding more content for google to hook into. One of the advantages of the topic of your site is that its content is linked in history. What that means is, you can use the huge amount of resources online to find ways to tunnel through to other, adjacent, subjects. Chariots of the Gods is a good example of taking that angle, but you needn't go as far as re-writing history. Known, renowned scientists have been quoted saying they themselves can't fully explain certain occurrences, and you'd be surprised by their speculations. Clever googling of Wikipedia will yield content you can just inject into your site, all you have to do is re-write it from the angle of your site's interest.

Also, there are a multitude of "mechanical" devices you can add to your site, like date calculators and eclipse comparators. Each time you mention a person's date of birth, or date of death, place a link to a list of people who were born or who died on that date. These lists are public domain, and you'd get an extra curiosity click from almost anyone. You can expand that to years of historical events, so people can have a mental image of what type of environment that person lived in or something took place.

A couple of technical details: You might want to cycle/randomize the images on the front page. Not the content, just the images. For very casual readers, this gives the impression of frequent updates, and for frequent visitors it won't matter. AdSense blending is very good, here and there you might actually want to match the font as well, you'd be surprised as the difference, and it's not outside the TOS.

One more thing, there's an automated directory submitter:
    http://www.lazyseo.com/

I used it about 2 months ago, when it was a product, not a membership, and it was very useful. Since then it's changed quite a bit, and the PR update took a few directories off the list, but if it's even half as effective as it used to be then, it's still worth it. Search DP for SubmitNow. Before you pay anything though, make sure you find out how many directories they submit to now, it used to be 270.

    Good Luck!

I think besides the wealth of knowledge here, DP is also a good source of motivation. With the literal UPs and Downs of adsense income, it's nice to have DP to lean on during the downs :)

You should make a bit more content, because I think the site simply ownz. I mean the subject and all the matter of the site rox, if I were a visitor I surely have clicked on one of the ads, because they are good enough blended and they have good title/desc. Recommend you to filter those "bestsites" ads, they are paying bullshit, and check some ads of yours (don't click, just visit their link) to see which is MFA, they 99% don't pay more then 5cent.. the last stuff is to change the html code a bit, I saw it was made with frontpage, there are many useless codes, if you have times check it again with the css too.

Sorry for claiming, but to be honest I like the site and I want you to make it perfect! Really good content, today I saw 2 good sites, well this is cool, I haven't seen good sites about a week:)

Congratulations to your site & all the bests brynrees

Thanks a lot for the extremely helpful comments. Yes, I need to add a lot more content, I'd like to have at least 200 pages on the site.

I have changed one of the images on my hompeage, but will make it a more regular thing. Thanks - good Idea!

Re lazyseo - when I have some cash I think I'll try that out, sounds impressive.

    Thanks again

Thanks (to everyone) for the congrats. Will check the MFA
adsense site ads on my site. I had never thought to do so before.
Regarding HTML - as I have no knowledge of it at all I'm a bit hesitant
to change anything, though I know it probably needs doing.

PR6 - that goes to show, history does play a part of the PR algorithm.

I didn't see any ads on your page for mysterious people, but I thought that the content was genuine and your main focus wasn't specifically to make an adsense optimized site, which is great as most of the blogs I have visited thus far from this forum seem to be made specifically for adsense only.
