I run into this a lot with CJ and and not sure how to handle this. While promoting products from CJ I constantly run into deactivated advertisers almost on daily basis and all my efforts are wasted. On my sites those link become invalid and also on other sites like forums now those links are useless. Furthermore a lot of advertisers for no reason terminate their affiliation and now all of those sites and hard work that I put in to create sites to promote their products and generate traffic is wasted. Many times I think just to stop promoting anything from CJ as its wasting my efforts. How do you handle such dynamically changing scenarios and how do you promote it ?
no one ? !!! I see frequently this advertiser was deactivated and that was deactivated and a number of times Advertisers would just terminate their relationship with you for no reason although I have been making sale for them and that puts me in a situation that I dont know how to handle. All sites have links to those CJ advertisers and its becoming a pain to keep up with that and ensure my efforts are not wasted and I am not giving sale to them while getting no credit for it. How do you folks handle this problem ? I am sure you are seeing the same thing as well and must have some strategy. Its a different thing if you are just using adwords (just go and change link there or end that campaign) but what about article marketing and various other methods ?
Daily basis is too often. I happened to me sometimes. I suggest that you contact CJ to get more information. Daily is too often. If it happens sometimes, I suggest that you contact the advertisers to get more details. Sometimes they run their own affiliate programs.
Well it is hard to say who will be deactivated and who will not be, also it is hard to say who will terminate and who will not, so there is really no answer to your question except choose your merchants wisely, don't keep all your eggs in one basket, and always remember when being terminated, it might have been for the best.
I would also agree, daily is a lot. I have it happen, and usually in a few hour or the next day they're re-activated. I'm curious if it could be the quality of merchants you're promoting? Are they 'good' or well known companies, or little start up deals. In that case, they could come and go as the fail or are suspected of fraud, etc. hanji
ok daily may be exaggerating but weekly for sure. I also see like hanji mentioned, some are deactivated and then activated before I take any action. I have contacted advertisers when they terminate affiliation and almost 100% of the time get no response from them. If I contact CJ they tell me to contact the advertiser and they do not respond. I was promoting a well known survey company and getting many leads, getting ranking in search engines and all of a sudden they terminate and with no explanation. contacted them repeatedly but no reply. Quite bad I might say... man whats up with DP. Its getting very slow. I am on other forums and they are ok so not my Internet connection.
I will never go back to CJ or any company like CJ. if a company has a affiliate program and it's through them fine but if it's through another organization it just isn't worth it.
I do not know what are these advertisers. I am mainly using hosting advertisers and web services. Yes DP is slow for me too sometimes. I think the server has thousands of people on it and that is why it is slow. It also send emails on top on that.
