Hi! Can anyone answer this question? I've recently started a small IT business and outsourcing it to an Indian company. The cost is very low, seems a good deal. But, still not sure about this company. Need suggestion if anybody has ever done outsourcing with Indian companies.
Do they need some kind of training before they can handle your biz? It may cost you a lot of money before they even can manage your biz.
There are Indian companies who are really good in seo. You may try and observe their output, afterall it only costs you minimal amount. Otherwise, you may try others.
If you can find some good quality workers who can speak and understand English well enough then sure it can work. I've got 3 guys in India I work with on a case by case basis. Sometimes I just don't have the time or energy to do the work myself so I send it to 1 of them, look over what they did and then send it off to the client. Best way to handle it from my own experience. Get several people who specialize in 1 area. Then give them very specific tasks and a reachable deadlines. I've tried a couple guys who said they could do it all, and in their defence they could, just the quality of their work wasn't up to my standards or they took way to long. Bottom line. It can work depending on the effort YOU but into it. Don't think you can pass it off and get gold.
I outsource some things to guys in India but you have to spend some time to find one or two that will give you the quality you want. The pricing is generally very good and if it's not some kind of Holiday, the turn times are decent as well.
Sometimes, outsourcing is good because things can move faster and it saves your time, allowing you to focus on expanding your business. However, money is still the main consideration, if the price for outsourcing is high and it affect your cash flow, then better not.
Outsource is very good idea but the major problem is quality, you gotta search for the company able to provide quality work before assign the task for them
Outsourcing is not bad, its definitely needed if you want to scale up. In today's world it is very difficult to not to outsource and survive as your competitor may beat you any day by doing otsourcing and offer better rates.
It's not bad at all. You can save on costs and not to mention have access to talent in other countries. The challenge here is finding the right provider to perform the task. Training is important and constant communication for follow ups and monitoring. If you're lucky to find the right people, take care of them and give them incentives. Competition is fierce and there are also a lot of online entrepreneurs seeking talented individuals to outsource. You have to deal with them as well.
You can't ask for references, the sites they have already worked on? I hired a college student. He was cheap, and he is right here in town I can talk to. Fuck that IM and e-mailing over every little detail that needs to be done. You need somebody right there by your side. Not thousands of miles away.
That's the point in finding a quality worker when outsourcing. 1 of the guys I've worked with in the past was for a very large, over the course of 1 year, programming project. The guy was awsome and produced top notch work. We would only talk about once a week to go over major stuff and he would get it done. If he ran into a smaller concern he would e-mail or see if I'm on IM for a quick answer. I have worked with providers that need constant hand holding though. Those are the ones I let go. If I need to hold your hand I will do the work myself.
Hello, depend of the work, if it's something confidential you must to sign up a contract or something like that, is very important to know who they are, if they will work with your source code, images, design, etc etc
Outsourcing is a very popular tool for business. It has been a major element to success for various companies overseas. India and Philippines are well-know countries who offer this kind of services. It's is good because of the lower labor but you need to be careful in choosing the right company. You need to make sure that they will give you the output you desired, deliver it on time and all your requirements must have been done. Btw, please check your PM.
Oursourcing has its advantages on disadvantages. Its all down to your business, look at how it would affect you. Generally for a business startup i may be worthwhile to oursource some division to cut cost but you may be looking for an alternative as your business grow. Quality service is very important to run a successful business.
Outsourcing is surely a good way to do business...having many pros...but need to find a good one that delivers what you want to the service level you require. Some people have good experiences with it and some don't. Deal with those with good reputations, even if their rate is a bit higher.
There wouldn't be so many companies outsourcing their work to India, Brazil, Philippines and other places if outsourcing wasn't good, so a. Outsourcing to India is not a bad option. What has been outsourced, what is the track record of the company you have outsourced to and what is the agreement between you and the company, skill required and other variables would come into play to find out how effective it turns out in your case. Overall India is a hot destination for the $$$ saved!!!
