Does the anchor/link "title" influence crawlers & positions

Does the link title hold any weight when be crawled? i.e.

<a href="http://www.example.com" title="Another Top Keyword">My Top Keyword</a>

I'm thinking of applying this to my site but wondering if holds SEO benefit rather than just user.

 

I don't think it does, however I use it so the user can see what they are about to visit with a bit more of an explanation, the same way i'd use an alt tag for an image.

 

well not really to be true... you need the actual keywords to be in your site thats more important.

Listen to my advice.I did an experiment.Linked a site with a specific keyword when you do a search with that keyword my site although it doesnt have it in its content its 1 result.so this answers to ur question.

No! it wont effect to your weight of page in terms of SEO! you can use it because its basic code for link

Page title, description is also very important too.

But, is not depends on the anchor text.
