I don't know what they really want but this nation and it's leaders are evil... should be erased from the map... :(

N Korea is harder than Iran... doesn't even respect international laws and peoples' opinion.. leader must be tortured to death...

What a rediculous attitude! Does this mean yet again that if one person "thinks" another is "evil" that person should be "erased"

Sounds like a group I used to hear about that went around with white sheets over there pathetic faces, because they didnt have the guts to be recognised!

When Nth Korea becomes a threat, treat it as such. Until then worry about the obvious problems in your own back yard.

North Korea is a threat to the entire world. Their leaders have starved their own people killing millions. The leaders of North Korea should be killed. Ideally, some brave North Korean would do the task but more than likely it will take the US to save the North Korean people from their government and the rest of the world from the North Korean nuclear threat.

For those that don't know how North Korea rules its own people I suggest you learn something.

If your "suggestion" was directed in my direction, it is misguided. I have been on this planet long enough to know that Nth Korea "could" be a threat. I also know how its government treats its people. But this does not mean that the "nation" is evil as was quoted in the first OP.

Nth Korea, not unlike Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Russia, USA and many other countries are full of corrupt politicians with egos the size of mountains. Once we (the people) rid the planet of this scum, the threat deminishes considerably.

I hate murderers, rapists, thugs, pedohiles, and a whole bunch of others who are "equally" a threat to the way we live our lives, but I dont go around professing that they should be killed. And hey guess what..... As soon as "some brave Nth Korean" kills the powers to be, some other moron will take their position at the helm, and the whole things starts over again.

I have no idea what 2 girls you are talking about, but I would never understand the point you make about "the nation being evil" and that "it should be erased from the map"

I have no idea what you are feeling, but I can only assume something tragic has happened to your family. If this is the case, my deepest sympathies go to you and your family.

Remember though that whatever the tragedy, many hundreds even thousands of mums and dads have already been through it in many places around the world. From Hitler to Hussain we have seen it time and time again. During the last "stuff up" by the USA, we even saw (for the first time ever) widely broadcast coverage of some mothers children being beheaded for all the world to see.

This shit happens because we elect the bozo's in power and we accept everything they do, "in the name of the country". I say - "let the kids run the planet with the help of their moms" - Then we would have no trouble!

I think he was referring to the two Americans that were sentanced to 12 years for "grave crimes" in NK.

In the general sense of the term you are probably right. However we should not discount links between Iran, Korea, Syria, Russia and other rogue nations, specifically those who murder people through terrorism, and the ability for them to construct what has been commonly referred to as "Nuclear Briefcases"

On the scale you refer to we have to remember a number of key factors regarding the use of nuclear weapons....

    1. We create the panic through fear
    2. It would be suicide for any rogue nation to use nuclear weapons. If the fallout was not going to affect their own country, there would certainly be a number of countries with the capability, that would retaliate at a moments notice.
    3. There are a number of countries already well advanced in the provision of counter weaponry in case of a nuclear threat or attack.

North Korea has been a threat for decades. They have instilled a rediculous fear in most people, that they can and would launch a nuclear attack, and yet they never have. To eradicate a population because of what that government can do, would eradicate most of the civilised world. What about China, What about Russia, What about the USA.

Murderers are responsible for more deaths and destruction that any nuclear blast (excepting Chernobyl maybe) - in fact buses, cars and insects have killed more people. Why then do we wipe out a nation or even a government of duly elected officials, because of what may happen.

Anyway - North Korea is the responsibility of the North and South Koreans! What gives us the right (USA particularly) to stick our noses in. Look at the result of that arrogance in Iraq!

Oh man, where are you located? Are you in US? I don't understand why you are a decade behind the big news...
I suggest you start watching cnn, bbc, or wherever you are and start reading the news because it's difficult to argue to someone who don't know what to argue...It's shocks the world and you don't know?

If you had read my earlier post you would already know I am in New Zealand. This shows how much some people pay attention.

I am not here to argue, i am simply putting across another point of view, and I apologise, but my day is too busy to be sitting around watching television. To add to that, television and media are the two most critically acclaimed reasons things are blown out of all proportion.

I have read the articles you speak of, thank you for making the information available. However this content was not the core focus of my previous posts. My point was aimed at the rediculous statements "the nation and its leaders should be erased from the planet"

I totally agree that what has happened here is deplorable, and I would be the first to state that the two journalists have been treated too harshly. Just like I would say that someone who tries to smuggle drugs into Singapore and gets the death penalty, may also have been treated too harshly. I may also say that a thief in Iraq who has his hands chopped off for stealing, has been treated too harshly. What I don't believe is that these places have to follow the western civilisation in its way of dealing with what we consider to be deplorable acts.

If these women knew the risks of what they were doing, and they knew the penalty (which you might expect as they were conducting research) then they should have known they could be caught and subject to the law of the land. This is not to say they deserve it, it is just to say they knew it was coming.

You see if I have a big red sign on my farm that says "Keep Out - Trespeassers will be shot" and if it is legal for me to do that - that is what will happen to trespassers! I dont care what public opinion is, I dont care what others would do on thier property! All I am concerned with are those idiots who choose to read my sign, ignore my sign, and test me.

Anyway - for me this is going on too long. I have made my point! I am not in favour of what these girls (women) have gone through, but it certainly does not warrant the original comment about "wiping an entire nation and its leaders from the planet"

Bummer! Now that would suck big time if the guards crossed into China! I will keep an eye out for developments in the story - now I am intrigued :D

It would not be the first, second, or even the thrd time representatives of the North Korean government had kidnapped people from beyond their borders. I'm hoping Al Gore will fly in on a leer jet and rescue his employees.

North Korea does not have any sign and the authorities suspects they grabbed the 2 ladies from inside China near the border...

Those who support North Korea must suffer painful death.. This country is evil.. Am I referring to people? yes, because they support their insane leaders... leaders don't care human rights.. what they care is their power and pride...

You know what, if I can only invent the most powerful weapon, the first target would be the places where terrorism, chaos, and war never ends... This is the reason why the world suffers.. because all money is spent to war... not to basic needs... Those unpeaceful countries are the poorest countries too... and highly populated... I am wondering why most countries in Africa still have the biggest population despite of genocide, aids, famine, and never ending war.. are people their doing noting but sex? :D really weird world..

Taking this loony little shrimpy whimpy little man seriously does nothing but fuel the fire. If we ignore him, he'll just go away. I still cannot figure out why so much attention if given to one of the poorest nations, one of which can't even get a rocket off the ground.

    They are a joke!!!
