    Hello

I am on a shared access server so my host won't allow me to change the attributes of three files. Is there a way around this? I can't do it currently from my desktop, is there some software I can download to change the attributes before I load via FTP?:D

    Thanks

Yes I need to change the permission level. It is so I can load a generator to automatically generate a detailed sitemap to the server. There are three files and I need to change the permissions and input a numeric value.

    I'd appreciate your assistance

    Thanks

You can change permissions via FTP or from File Manager (if you have cPanel not sure about other cp). Also, I am not sure why your host is not allowing you to change the file permissions.

You will change the file permissions through ftp or c panel or other wise you will do that in SSH also.
