SURVERY: Netherlands VPS Servers? Would it intrest you?

    Hey,

As my web hosting grow's by day, we're looking to develop slowly. We currently offer Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting. We're looking to add Domains and also VPS servers.

So as you know, like any good company. The hosting firm needs to do a little research.

    So my questions are:

    - Would VPS servers in Netherlands intrest you?
    - Does 1GB Guaranteed RAM + 125GB Storage + 2.5TB Bandwidth sound good for $50 without cPanel sound good?
    - What VPS software would you use. After the LxAdmin exploit, would you still be happy to use HyperVm?
    - Would you like it Managed?
    - Would you pre-order (before the server has arrived)?

Also do add anything else you think may help us make the right decision.

    Thanks alot.

HyperVM is still unstable, you should have turned it off by now or have restricted access to your own IPs. The patch which they provided did not work.

hypervm is not that great currently at this moment their is some bugs in there ( they are fixing ).

    - Does 1GB Guaranteed RAM + 125GB Storage + 2.5TB Bandwidth sound good for $50 without cPanel sound good?

decent but you need to make sure your not over selling + you can handle that much. Try looking at ecatel or leasewebs. Don't offer 2.5tb bw and 125gb storage if you Cannot garuntee that resources cause its cost more to host in the netherlands. Leasewebs is pretty good :) for a unmettered server it costs 349euros @ http://www.leaseweb.com/en/products/dedicated-servers/packages/35/ though their express servers do not have any ram upgrades(contact them for more details). For ecatel current plans(overpriced now used to be cheaper):

VMWare is the most likely platform i choose. We'll have to wait and see.

    Thanks for your post anyways.

    Hi ultralite,

Dont go for hypervm, i have found 2 new panels (one for openvz and one for xen) - They are still not open to the public, but they are very good and have descent features and look FAR MORE better then hypervm.

    XEN ... http://atechmedia.com/radar

    OpenVZ ... http://www.solusvm.com/forum/showthread.php?p=24#post24

They all look good and are priced well.

If im moving, ill definately go for solusvm as my clients are openvz based.

I'm sorry to say but the maker of LX has passed on, so it's not really known on the future of the software.

Thanks for replying. I'll check out both panels :) I'm also thinking of VMWare as another option. But OpenVZ + XEN are quite popular.
