Affiliate Links in Ebooks

What are your thoughts on ebooks that have affiliate links embedded in them that are sold through ClickBank?

I have reviewed a bunch of ebooks and many of the ebooks will have mostly affiliate links, while others stay 100% clear of adding them in.

Would you be less likely to promote a product because of affiliate links within it? For myself I couldn't care less one way or another assuming the book is still useful to my reader and I get a nice commission, but I am curious as to what your thoughts are on it.

    Is this a serious question?

What does it matter if it has affiliate links in it or not? I for one make more money with affiliate links in my eBooks, so heck yes I'm going to add them in. And eBooks that I read with affiliate links added, those guys are smart.

    Just my two cents.

I personally don't have a problem with affiliate links in ebooks. Like you said, as long as the content is useful to the reader and delivers what it claims, I think most people don't mind the affiliate links and probably expect them.

As long is it is subtle and doesn't become a link fest that could confuse or piss the buyer off enough to refund the eBook, then I have no problem with it, its just smart marketing

When you're providing useful information to your customer, why do it for free? Suppose if you're referring a trusted website and if that website pays for each referral, why leave it like that? It's not going to hurt if you put your affiliate link there because you are doing it not just for money but also for the buyers welfare.

Hey, if it's a good product I could care less if it has other affiliate links in it, I'll still try to sell the heck out of it. That's what I'm starting to do and it works like a freakin money machine. Seriously, it's not like your tricking the person but you're helping them and leading them to other good resources, with your link of course. I don't think it affects the sale ratio at all. IMhO

    cheers!

The only difference is that because thers money involved one is biased to say that the product is great even if its not :)
