There are so many ways to drive traffic to your site. Focus on one, master it and then when you have the revenue to outsource it do that and then focus on another method. Trying to chase all the traffic generation methods out there will make you do a poor job on all when it is better to do a great job in one. For example one of my sites the 45% of traffic comes from Ezinearticles.com because for a year all I did was post articles to that site every day. Now I hire freelance writers and hire someone to post the articles to that site and the traffic just keep on coming for very little work. I am now focusing on PPC traffic.
Build more content with good keywords. Once your content is positioned at the 1st page in search engine. Then, you will see your site is getting a nice amount of traffic everyday.

Increase PR to get google SE traffic.Article marketing,Getting quality backlinks are the easiest to get quality traffic.
Other than doing SEO and add more content. Do participate in Yahoo! Answers, it is a good source of traffic to your site.
You will want to use free advertising methods: -> Forum Marketing - Find relevant forums and edit your signature to point to your website and then contribute useful information to the forum -> Video sites - Videos I imagine will be hugely popular for this niche. Get a video and upload it to all the video sites -> Article Marketing - Write articles based around highly searched phrases in your niche -> Social bookmarking - Use sites such as Mixx, Digg, Stumbleupon etc to bookmark your videos and articles Once you have done this ping everything with pingomatic and pingoat. Some ideas for keywords might be on TV programs based on paranormal activities. You could use the program name to bring in extra traffic. Think of the size of the audience these shows have.
there is a lot of interest in the paranormal niche right now so if you can create some fun viral videos and watermark your url on them that could get you traffic after submitting them to youtube and metacafe and other sites.. or if you could at least make a slideshow with some music, showing your url at the bottom. remember to end your videos with at least 15 seconds of nothing but your url, that way there will be a delay before it is covered by the end of video ads those sites put up.
You can submit your site to many social bookmarking (do follow) sites. You can submit to our social networking and social bookmarking site at b2blocal.net/browse_links.php
Even if you post one article, a blog post and submit an article to high PR article marketing sites per day as well as post video or audio content on your site or blog per week, with everything being "great" content in the general sense of the word, or even post hundreds and hundreds of these "great" things, people won't know your site has 'em all. Unless you're on that first search result page for a set of highly searched keywords with the lowest possible competition ---> when you gain enough traffic and continue to provide "great" content, you shouldn't be worried about the competition anymore, but since we're talking about the status of your site "now", read on... How do you let people know you have "great" content on your site or even new "great" content? Call hundreds upon thousands of people one after the other just to tell them about the "great" content on your site ---> let's say you have the time and initiative to do that, where would you get all those numbers and when would you get to a hundred thousand at least? Nah... <me chucks this plan out the window> Why not get a list of high PR dofollow sites/blogs/forums with massive amounts of quality traffic (the right type of traffic you need) and contribute useful content there, tell them all about the "great" content on your site (of course in helpful and relevant ways --- never in a "spammy" method), use keyword backlinks on your contributions WHENEVER it's necessary for the traffic on those sites to learn more about your contributions thereby adding more value to your contributions and in the process getting them to take a look at your site ---> we're in a roll here since not only do they know your site or that your site has "great" content: they also went there and, if your content is "great" as we keep on saying it is, chances are: you just earned your site massive amounts of loyal viewers, AND --- ...in the process, the PR of your site also improves. Hitting 2 birds with one stone? Nah --- killing 'em too! If you have any questions about backlinks (or if you believe some of those myths about backlinks), read this "myths about backlinks" I posted on another thread. Hope this helps.
I looked at your site and I suggest that you install a forum. There are a lot of people posting videos on youtube that deal with your sites topic. You could use those videos as material, and the forum will act as a place for people to post their own topics. Blogs are ok if you are the only one posting material. But in the Paranormal field, I bet your readers would like to post their own topics.

Fact is, most webmasters get their traffic from bookmarks. In other words, repeat visitors. Put a recommending service on your site--This is another good source of traffic. You can turn your repeat visitors into new traffic.Adding interactive content to your site is very easy to do, but it will lure people back to your site for a long time. An example of this is a message board. With a message board, people come to your site and post messages to it, checking back every few days for new messages or replies to theirs.
I agree that youtube video is good source. Also, once you post video on you tube, there are a lot other sites that grabs your video. I did that for MBAchase.com and found that other video sites (even from China) grabs MBAchase video and had a link there. Just search on google on "MBAchase", any other video site other than youtube has grabbed it from youtube, and then you know how it works. Hope this helps.
