    - I totally agree with you, circlecity (it is important to maintain the overall Bidding Integrity or Structure)- otherwise, I think your Bidding Directory will eventually go out of business.

    - What does everyone else think? :)

I believe temporary discounts are very unfair towards existing customers.
Either permanently lower the price or don't change the structure at all.

I think, once launched, the price should not be altered in any way. However, I think the links sold on sidebars / footers can be revised since it is not affected through bidding.

    Luxuria and pablopabla:

I appreciate and respect what you both are saying, but what do you think about the following...

    - If the PR (PageRank) increases for your Bidding Directory, should you never Increase the Minimum Bid amount?
    - If the PR (PageRank) decreases for your Bidding Directory, should you never Decrease the Minimum Bid amount?

    - With the current world Economic Crisis, people are having to sell things for less than Market Value right now- does this reality not apply to the operation of Bidding Directories (as my previous post agreeing with a partial discount for bulk Link Submissions was/is based on this Economy)?

    What do YOU think? :)

I do think that Bidding Directories should transcend PR. The value should be determined not just on PR but the types of sites accepted for bids, traffic etc. When I place a bid in someone else's directory, there is no guarantee that the PR of that directory will remain. Nobody can guess whether it will go up or down.

However, for links sold on sidebar or footer (which is a private deal and does not mess up with the integrity of the bidding mechanism), it's willing buyer willing seller on market basis.

    - Does anyone know if it is possible to automatically approve (and activate) Link Submissions in LBS (LinkBidScript) Bidding Directories?

    Hi Everyone,

I know it has been a while since updating this thread, so I wanted to check-in and see how everyone is doing with their Bid / Bidding Directories by asking you some questions (and also answering them myself)...

    1) Do you get Bids on a regular basis?
-- Yes, I get Bids on a regular basis.

    2) What website niche do you usually get Bids from?
-- I usually get Bids from Casino/Gambling websites.

    3) How often do you get Higher Bids (compared to Minimum Bids)?
-- I have noticed an increase in the amount of Higher Bids lately.

    4) What is the Minimum Bid amount for your Bidding Directory?
-- The Minimum Bid amount for my Bidding Directory is $2.

    5) What do you think about Niche Bidding Directories and General Bidding Directories?
-- Personally, I prefer General Bidding Directories because that way Anyone can Bid, but I think Niche Bidding Directories probably deliver more Targetted Traffic from the Search Engines.

    What do YOU think?

    1) Do you get Bids on a regular basis?
-- Yes, I get Bids on a regular basis.

    2) What website niche do you usually get Bids from?
-- From auto websites and casinos. But I decline casino and gambling sites.

    3) How often do you get Higher Bids (compared to Minimum Bids)?
-- Bids are usually higher than the minimum bidding amount.

    4) What is the Minimum Bid amount for your Bidding Directory?
    -- $1.

    5) What do you think about Niche Bidding Directories and General Bidding Directories?
-- If the bidding directory is built from scratch and earned its spurs, then it is good. If it is from a dropped domain, then I would stay away from it. This applies to both general and niche bidding directories.

pablopabla -- Thanks for all of your answers...

    - What does everyone else think about any of those 5 Questions (directly above this post)?

    - Has anyone had a G**gle Penalty "reversal" regarding the PR of one of your Bid Directories? I have one Bidding Directory that was at PR2/PR3 (then G**gle obviously penalized it because it went to PR0)- now many months later, it is PR2 again.

    * Your questions and comments posted here are Greatly Appreciated...

    Thank You.

    What do YOU think?

    - Do you use bidding directories mainly for PageRank (if so, how often do you make "Homepage Bids")?

    - Do you ever use bidding directories as a source of Traffic?

    - What do you think is the future of Bidding Directories?

( Your replies are Greatly Appreciated. )

I own a niche bid directory.

I am very happy with the automated funtionality of the script- I works great and looks good too.

The problem with bid directories is that so many have used them on expired domains that they are all now viewed as spammy. Everyone who has submitted to bid directories with PageRank has seen site loose PR and fast.

Many bid directory owners interlink a number of these sites and when one goes down, the rest are soon to follow.

Luxuria -- Thanks for your opinion.

hotftuna -- I appreciate and respect what you said (re: "Everyone who has submitted to bid directories with PageRank has seen site loose PR and fast."). However, I have some websites that were submitted to Bid Directories, and they received an increase in PageRank by 1 or 2 points (I think the quality of Bid Directories is very important when determining which Bid Directories to submit your websites).

pablopabla -- Can you please be a little bit more specific about what you are asking?

seoanna -- Thanks for your opinion. :)

ttyler333 -- Why did you start a Bid Directory, and how do you like it?
