Is there a way to point Google Adsense Bot to the right context?

    Hi everyone,

    One of my blogs is a multimedia site where I post clips floating around the internet.. and as you can imagine, the text is usually short. Is there a way to make Google pull contextual ads from a certain section of my blog?

    For example:

    <-- adsense bot crawl here -->
    description goes here
    <-- adsense bot crawl here -->

    I tried searching around DP but I couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance!

    You can also make Google ignore certain text:

    <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Just for future reference, it's called Section Targetting

    Section targetting is known to work. Google says there would be a delay, how was your experience? Howmuch time it tokk before you got targetted ads?

    This first time I used section targetting, I had made a post on one of my blogs that completely screwed up the ads I was getting. I used the ignore section targetting for that post, and within a day, things were back to normal ;)

    If this is real then here goes my question. For ex: my site is about chocolates :) and I want "loan" ads, then I make this
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    Loan, mortgages, etc etc etc, cancer and all the high CPC ads
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    and the next I'll get ads like that, or I must have the content similiar to the sectioning text ?
    If my thoughts are right then this could make serious problems, growing MFA's...

    Tell me if I`m wrong, (I hope I am)

    I hope but tell me why, I`m really skeptic about.. if you must have similar content with the sectioning then why is the sectioning exists? I just can't make sens of this..

    MakeSense, isolate your menus, previous/next post, isolate headlines or something in single post(content) mode etc..
    Try to do this and you will see what I mean :)
    Check the source of http://news.ayanev.com/ and see where I'm using these tags ;)

    What I get is better targeting of my ads ;)
    In the example url I gave you isnt very effective bacause of the 10-12 words content which is not marked as "ignore", but I dont have other option ;)
    In my other projects this is working.
