You're right.

After the soviets left, the mujahideen started fighting each other. Then the Taliban was created and started fighting the mujahideen(which really just a bunch of militias). And all the fighting was for control.

The Pakistani ISI and Al Qaeda backed the Taliban.

But you'll not hear pingpong talk about the role of the Soviets, the Pakistanis or radical islamic terrorist organizations. I'm not sure why.

 

Think of it as a terrorist "guy code" if you will. Who's gonna cry foul or rat out their own kind? Honestly?

 

Taliban is the direct result of the illegitimate affair between USSR, USA, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.


USSR and USA played their bloody cold war on the poor people of Afghanistan and raped the country, Pakistan was partner in crime but paid and is heavily paying the price of that partnership during cold war.

Taliban were born in 1994-95 out of the vaccum created by exit of USSR and USA from Afghanistan after one got defeated and one got bored after the merciless killing of people. Pakistan supported the Taliban, and it did make sense, in way that practically the whole of Afghanistan was under Pakistan through taliban. So thats the whole story.

As far as Islam is concerned, well thats the fad of connecting everything bad under the sun with Islam.

Yea those taliban may be Muslims, but Islam didn't tell them to do what they did. Americans, Russians, Saudis, Pakistanis and even Israelis.

To get a basic feel of what I'm saying, watch the movie Charlie Wilson's War. Although the facts aren't completely correct in that movie, but it will give you a general feel of what actually happened.

 

Its really necessary to understand taliban was not created and supported by any group who was fighting aginst USSR like pakistan, usa, saudia or other countries.

Taliban was very small group of ppl from Kandhar... Who got the response from local/civil people.

They are the reasons which destroyed Pakistan;s or USA's investment...

But point is that Who was taliban and now who is taliban ? How many of them really belongs to local Kandahar and orignial Taliban ?

Its really clear these people who are fighting against muslims are not one of them they are group of people gathered by many resources as previously Pak and USA invested now some other countries invested to make most out of it.

The leader of current taliban never existed before and their backgrounds if some one know really dosent belong to afghan or pak ...

One more point there is big difference between Taliban And alqaida and current Taliban.

 

Taliban are the result of :Arabs Money , Pakistans training and CIA's green light.
