    Hi guys,

I need your suggestions on this issue.

I would like to prepare a SEO reports for my clients on a weekly and monthly basis. One of my collegue told me to contact any seo company by asking sample SEO report for my website and i can make changes on that report and send it to the clients. Is this OK??

If you guys have some different ideas please post it for me.

If you can also show me some important points that could be added in the monthly report or have such an report sheet available, it would be beneficial.

Also would like to know in which format you guys deliver SEO reports to your clients?

    Thanks In Advance

I'd suggest you get something like Web Position - you'll be able to generate reports in there such as ranking etc...

You work for a company that is offering SEO and SEO reporting to clients but don't know what to write or how to present it? I don't know why I'm still shocked to see this sort of thing happening ;)

Why don't you just Google example seo report and see what comes up? :)

ok, the best way to do it

prepare a powerpoint presentation, first of al write down in word all the bullet points of what you've done , once youve got this, expand it out into a slide for each all skinned up with a nice logo on aswell as some screen shots from analytics or something

Well for the first report a keyword density is very important. To test a clients SEO density on any page this tool will help> http://www.ranks.nl/tools/spider.html

Then after making sure each and every page is optimized suitable for a landing page (making sure the navigation provided is adequate to lead a visitor to the root)

For a weekly report monitoring a clients SERPs position in the big three should be a priority. I don't have a tool since I usually check it manually. You should also consider reporting on the # of backlinks. Make sure to show the number starting compared with the number they currently have. Anyway just a couple of thoughts.

Thanx for all your valuable comments guys....keep them coming for updating me.

I used to provide my earlier clients the G analytics snapshots (weekly/monthly upon their requests) + the backlinks numbers (previous and current) and a few other details related to the keywords that they had provided like their keywords positioning, etc.

Depends on the amount of information you wish to report. I use web ceo to create reports, there is a free version that will allow you to report on limited data (e.g. 5 keywords ranking report). I have the paid version which makes this unlimited and also allows me to label the report to my company.

In terms of links etc i just copy the URL of the page the link is placed on as i place them, or in case of articles/press releases, when i get confirmation they have been accepted. I can then take that data and format it to send to the client.

The most important thing a client will look for is your SERP.
what makes the SERP move up and down
    Traffic on their website.

So the better format will be to give them Keyword Ranking Report + Backlinks Report + Traffic Report

OK, Clients want to know what they are getting for their money. They want to know their serps and they want to what you doing to get there. I send a number of reports to clients each month but the main ones are a web ranking report and a link report. I also run reports on their main competitors, its always good to know what the competition are up to :)
