my obeservation on ezine articles is that it gets almost all of its traffic from google (harldy anything from their members/readers base) as some of my articles have hardly got 10 views and others are still going strong after thousand plus views.

did anyone else noticed it ?

Yep. Currently I'm noticing it. Articles that I posted a couple of days back have got less than 25 views which is really annoying. But, I'm pretty sure it's going to change after a while. It has happened to me in the past and later the same articles got over 250 views and 150 clicks after a month or so.

Better to be patience (well, at least for me that's a good decision) and hoping to know from you if there is any improvement.

    Hi Pete,

I like your tread, it’s much inspiring.

I interest in your method of google adsense.

I need you answer my questions:
    1. Is your 40 blogs create by 1 google account or they are spread by few google accounts ?
    2. You only create blog by blogger, how about wordpress or other free blog service ?
    3. how to promote these blogs ? in addition ping and bookmark what else we must doing ? is visitor (traffic) only from search engine ?
    4. is the google trends same with google hot trends ?
    5. do you also modify your blog’s theme or just optimize on the content (articles) ?

    Thanks,

I like what you are doing but I think that you are focusing on wrong stuff.

I think that your traffic techniques are little what I would call "spamy", not long term and take to much of your stamina.

If I have a goal to make 60k a year, I would focus on something which can bring me money over longer period of time.

This Adsense thing is not worth of your time IMO, I would rather focus my attention on something which should be "a trend" over a year, IDK .. like maybe Twilight Trailer for 3 movie, Google Wave or something else, I just made this up and focus my energy on that site ... How much traffic you are getting with this trend blogger sites?

Also, it seems that all you focus on is internet community sites like yahoo answers, forums etc.. bookmarking sites and directories and blogs without unique content taken wrong Ezine or some else site.

Why don't you choose to promote 3-4 products, build great site around it, use smarter marketing ( no wonder why it's called affiliate marketing ) techniques, and focus more on how to sell this product when people visit your site. For example, I always tend to focus on long term keywords, of course it's not a secret, and work on my own landing page to sell the product. One thing I learned about aff marketing is that there's a lot more work on the site itself than outside. If a person is in search for the product, and you persuade them that the product is what they need ... they maybe won't buy it right away, but most of them come back after 1-3 days ...

I like you, but I think that you are spreading yourself to thin as they say. I mean ... 40 blogs which I'm sure you even don't know the URL's ... I also ( like, every day:p ) find new ideas, want to buld sites around it but as I learned ... it just makes things harder to do, and earn money.

Be great at one thing, only one thing, build your success over that and then move on. But as I say, I like what you do because that way you can learn a lot over a 1 year period ... but it's not something I would be safe to do over a long term.

LOL... Internet Marketing is a numbers game... but spamy isn't what he is doing... (Spam = Junk)

He is providing useful and good articles which gets people interested in what he's trying to promote. If it was spam, he wouldn't get any sales or even get approved by ezine. Article marketing is one of the smartest marketing methods around.

From reading your post it also seems you didn't read half the stuff he posted, because he was focusing on keywords and testing between direct linking and landing pages. Also, you said most people return to buy, well that is more reason to get them cookied. Also, he did choose multiple products and adsense is making him money so why should he stop?

Being great at one thing is good, but it just doesn't work anymore. You have to be on almost everything. Every Web 2.0, every method, traffic generation and so on. Lets just say for an example he focuses on one thing like adsense, then one day google bans him. Well, no there is no income at all. Or if he focuses on a website and it gets hacked or google decides to drop his page ranking?

Focus on one thing makes your business and income very unstable. Everyone has there own way of marketing, but personally I think your advice is wrong.

What i was saying is that before focusing on more things it's better to focus on one thing and master it, succeed. Doing otherwise, you will always have to much to do but never really make real success in any of fields.

Do one thing great, every other project you do later will be easier, you can repeat that success, but only later IMO. But doing 100 stuff at one time, I believe that your chances to really MAKE IT are lower.

Sorry, but how much products are you promoting ATM Pete without Adsense thing? How many sites?

Imagine if Google haven't started with simple, blank white search page. If they just copied Yahoo with their type of search homepage. No, they started simple, mastered it, and then later .. you all know it, tens of great products ...

I agree that you need to try everything, that's why I said that I like what he's doing ( over 1 year) but I wouldn't do it as a long term. I didn't say that you should always focus on one thing ...

And I'm sorry, but it just seemed to me that he used other people's articles, which is for me the same as syndicating content via RSS. There are sites as guru.com where you can buy dozen of great unique articles, ebooks for fair price. And Big G loves it.

I like what he's doing but I think that he also misses, maybe focuses on wrong things more than on ones he should. Or I'm reading it wrong .. in any case best of luck of course, we're here so share opinions ...

I tried once this "trends" sites via blogspot, made a few lousy dollars and spent more than 4-5 hours making the sites, and adding links for each. It's a lot of work.

Make a blogspot blog and throw up some articles on it and use that URL. If you have the time create a website, it's always good to have one =)

@gooner4ever I think you have not read what I have been posting on this thread. The whole point of this thread is to share the journey and also what works for me. There is no spam at all. I am not copying anyones articles and re distributing them. I write all the articles myself and they are unique content that, I know google loves. If you also read. I started with clickbank. Then I decided to move to plimus. I concentrated on plimus and now that is taking care of itself. I am now concentrating more on clickbank and that is starting to come along nicely too ( i will post screenshots and update everyone later today ) the rest of the month I am going to concentrate on adsense. The way I do adsense should only take you about 30 minutes to get the blog up and running bookmarked and pinged then you don't need to touch it again. I agree the adsens is only a short term option with blogger. I am changing that to a different option which I will update this thread with later that will provide a longer term option.

I am currently promoting 5 different products 2 of them are selling ok 1 of them is selling good and I have 2 products that are currently selling great one on plimus and one on clickbank ( as I said will update the thread later I was shocked!! )

Hope this helps to clear things up. There is no spam or anything this is pure and true Bum marketing working at its best.

    Thanks for reading

    Pete

P.S You all need to keep an eye out for the update because this one shocked me thoroughly. Looks like clickbank is on the ball again.

I have everything ready to go. I am however going to wait till 12pm clickbank time as that is the end of the day just so I can give you the grand total for the last few days. I will just say that a few of my articles have been syndicated on a very high traffic site and a couple of products have taken off nicely. Hopefully can keep the traffic coming in for a while. Still a bit dissappointed with adsense as I haven't had much time to concentrate on that yet but I have a plan in place to make some nice long term cash but will post that when the plan is finalised and tested.

Will update the thread with totals for everything in 3 hours 45 minutes.

    Speak to you all soon

    Pete

What is your strategy for adsense blogs? I see you do not need to touch them again, do you put rss feed on them, to auto post? Are the blogs on domain or blogger?

@mg no need for auto post these blogs are trends that come quick and go quick you are just looking for the quick buck because of the trend that shows up sometimes you will get lucky and hit a trend that lasts longer than normal. As I said in a previous post I am changing this tactic a little as it is not stable enough to make enough money without having to deal with new blogs etc everyday.

    Thanks

    Pete
