Is Litespeed better and faster than Apache server ?

For those who have used and configured Litespeed server, just tell your experience using Litespeed, whether it is better and faster than Apache server. Some said that Litespeed is better in handling Dos and more secure. So what's your opinion about Litespeed.

 

I Had used the free version and it was pretty fast...its faster than apache for sure but no mod rewrite

 

Litespeed is fully compatible with mod_rewrite rules, you don’t even need to change them!

 

Is it ?? didnt use it to much to know that but now the only problem i see is the price

 

Haven't used it myself, but that is what they claim. Also Wordpress.org uses Litespeed as their webserver, they wouldn't be using it if it wasn't able to use rewrite rules.

 

Yea just checked wordpress uses litespeed server

 

litespeed servers are real quick and they have more enhanced speed and working - i am using one and it is really wonderful...

 

Your are using the paid version ? or the free one

 

Litespeed is faster than apache and is even compatible with Cpanel.

 

am using litespeed paid version...it's awsome...Fast..apache made my server over load & out of memory..

now i even using Rapidleech script without a problem...

Strange when checking the cpanel, it stated Apache but when look to the empty files websites just created account, it stated Litespeed.

 

From testing of 2 servers using Litespeed and Apache I have to admit that Litespeed server is not always faster than Apache server newest versions. Dont know why but Litespeed server can handle ddos better.
