    Great thread, I spent quite some time reading it :)

    Here is my question. Today I received a warning email from Google saying that "invalid clicks or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users of third-party programs paid or provided with other incentives to visit your site. Such programs may include, but are not limited to auto-surf, pay-to-surf, pay-to-read, or pay-to-click sites".

    I repied saying that yes, I was using some of those (mainly auto-surf and manual-surf) sites to generate traffic for my website(s) (mainly for the purpose of improving alexa rating) BUT all those hits landed on the pages that do NOT have AdSense ads.

    I was sending significant traffic to two of the pages that did not have AdSense and those pages were linked to the other pages that DID have AdSense ads. BUT, if I get someone interested so that he/she clicks through doesn't that make that visit VALID?

    I would appreciate your comments.

    p.s. I wetted my pants and disabled google ads on my "likely to be the offender" sites until the situtation is clarified.
