My blog has been online for quite sometime, the current template looks a bit dated so I am giving it a face lift. You can see what the site which is principally a web hosting blog look like at the moment here, The new look is not coded yet but its a concept (see the image above). You feedback on whether the new magazine style WP template layout is good for a web hosting blog like mine or whether some improvements can be made to the design. You feedback appreciated

imblue, thanks for your suggestion and contribution. Making the right side significantly wide was deliberate, its to draw attention to the advert
Orange and blue are okay together. You just have to make sure they are right orange and blue. The orange appears to be a bit too burnt to go with that blue. I think you may have to punch up the saturation a bit on the orange to get it to match the blue properly.
Sorry, I missed the point that the new design has not been implemented in the first place . Initially I meant that the screenshot you posted here allows one to review the site design without having to click on a link, which is good for the lazy ones like me.
I think this is a matter of personal preference, what you think is not good other may see as very good. Thanks for you feedback all the same.
I agree, but not with the color combo 2 be improved; you need an even distribution of colors to make it blend.
