Seriously? How come the Hummer is so big and American love it? Operating systems don't get smaller they get bigger as they become more feature rich. If you want a streamlined OS you'd need to go back to DOS. It had no graphic interface and could run on a 286!
I bought laptot with vista home edition on it.Got rid of vista in 2 days.I think its good for people who uses their PCs to search internet only
Haha it lasted about 30 minutes on my computer, but after the 60000000th time it asked if i wanted to perform an operation i had enough. But if you have 32 gb of ram and 4 x Quadcore CPU then i guess you can run vista [/joke] Im looking forward to windows 7 however if thats no good its time to install ubuntu i think
i gotta say im surprised by Vista, im using it for more than a year. On my laptop it works perfectly (Intel Core Duo Processor T5750 2.0Ghz 2mb l2 cache) but i admit on other lower performance laptops it sucks
in all factor i hate vista for its limits on software usage, software made for XP will not work on vista unlike windows 7 that has been designed to accepts both XP and vista software, its memory hogging is also a pain when you edit and do graphic design, even bigger pain when you have a ton of programs open, although the way to solve that issue is by doing the obvious and upgrading your computer, as such vista doesn't have a small ram limit like XP with its 3.5gb ram limit.
I don't really like VISTA. XP is still the best. The most important thing is the OS not the external matter. Before I have files done using windows 98 but after i installed then i switch to XP then tried using Vista but i was disappointed because i could not opened the files. It is not User Friendly for me. XP works well than VISTA.
I hate it , but I bought an hp compaq notebook , which performs best with vista , now I am stuck with it
I have both Vista 64 bits and XP 32 bits. I use XP for 3-4 years on my old PC. I fell love Vista Eye-candy (Aero theme) at first glance but that is all about Vista. I don't think there is any benefit to use Vista for normal jobs except it look more beautiful. It require more CPU's Powers, Memory, Diskspace and it consume more battery power that the worst con of Vista!! But I can't say Vista is bad at all. I still love Vista and use it everyday that I don't know why?
Would you buy a car that got 1/2 to 1/3 the gas millage your current car gets? So its going to cost you 2X - 3X the amount of money to operate. Nah, I would not trade my truck in on another one that got 1/2 the gas mileage as the one I have right now. Even though gas is cheap right now, that does not matter. Its the principle of the matter. Everything else in the world gets small and more efficient, except windows operating systems. The hummer is a status symbol of how much money you have. And that is all it is. If you look at surveys, hummer owners are some of the most unhappy out of all SUVs. They break down more and cost more to operate. Very few people that buy a hummer will ever take them off road. I am perfectly happy with my 13 year old - paid for - T100 toyota 4 wheel drive truck. There is no reason for me to buy a hummer or switch to vista.
Vista looks better than Windows 7 but deep down it is inferior. Win7 is faster than both XP and Vista. Games on XP are faster than Vista. Windows 7 is faster and overall, better than Vista.
Vista is good however you must have a good computer to install and use it very well. But i still prefer to windows XP. Just simple and easy to use.
i m not saying its bad.. BUT if people say graphics then i'd prefer UBUNTU...MS guyz are just copying things from mac. BY DA WAY I hate mac to lol.
