I see blogging is becoming pretty popular all over the internet.. just kind of curious why people do it? Is it beneficial towards business? I don't really get it.
Also, I don't usually get "addicted" to the websites I make, can blogging be a fun hobby? I see some have even turned their hobby into a business... (I know kind of stupid... just curious)
Perhaps you need to better understand about SEO, traffic and professional layout Nothing beats a good wordpress blog or even a blogger blog in terms of initial SEO if you know to optimize it properly. If you dont like blogging dont blog. You can make more money by doing things which you like. Anyways blogging is not the only option. You can build your own website using custom templates on any niche or you can use scripts for building any website of your interest.
What is there to get about blogging? People blog because they like writing about their passion. From running a blog people realize they can make money from blogging. So they find affiliate programs within their niche or offer their own services and/or products. Its as simple as that.
You should try it first without thinking about making money, promoting a site etc and see if its for you. The lure for most is being able to easily post your opinions without having to code a website etc. If you can write something in MS Word, you can maintain a blog.
May be you shouldnt! Many people express themselves much better in writing than speaking! They share their knowledge and experiences! A blog is like an open diary! I strongly recommend that you shouldnt start a blog just because everybody does it!
Blogging is an incredible thing. It doesn't matter if you are trying to earn money or just be part of a community. Either way, its definitely something you have to be PASSIONATE about. If you aren't passionate about what you do, no one will read your blog, no one will click your ads, and no one will believe your business or information you post.
You shouldn't blog just because everyone else does it. To some people, they use it to make money. To others, they blog about what they're interested in or just for fun.
