Today I came accross something I've never seen before. It's about using Twitter in the classroom. Dr. Monika do use it in the classroom. Check what does she say.

Well first it takes ages to load and then I hit your link on your signature nice way for you to send traffic to your site. To me thats spamming.

 

Yeah, this sounds like a self plug to me too.

But to answer your question, I'm sure you could use it to compare opinions on social issues, and guage current events and how much people are talking about them (on twitter)

I checked it out. I cant see how using twitter will help education more likely to hurt it.

 

I looked personally I think it is possible that it could help in education though I have usually found in my college classes forums are more useful.

 

Some students are sometimes shy to talk, shy to discuss or to give their opinion, and by using Twitter in the classroom according to Dr.Monika, the number of students who participate in the class discussions increases!

 

i like the way this guy has ignored the comments accusing him of plugging his own site. you know if you told us you'd written it, it would be cool?

 

I think its a great idea. Kids already love the site, so why not use it for something beneficial?

I already posted about it in my college's website, and they said they will look into it and see what they can do! However, they showed a great interest in it.
