When I was browsering www. freewebdirectory. biz , it poped a window and downloaded some files. Luckily, Norton caught it. Norton reported a virus. I'm using IE.

    Be careful.

most likely they are running ads that contain virus.
i remember once i tried using paypopup, their ads have virus hidden in the wmf image.
then i totally remove all paypopup's ads.

I know many people recommend FF and its meant to be tighter and everything but ive got so used to IE, i can reach my faves quick n easy in IE, i guess its just getting out the habit but for the time being im still more comfy using IE.

NeoGen your Avatar looks so cuddly and hug inducing and i know that it shouldn't as it would probably rip off my arm if i was face to face with one.:)

sure, webmasters do use IE. IE is still dominating browser, although firefox is trying to catch up.

most of time, I use Opera which is pretty good. but on some sites, i have to use IE because of activex control on the site.

    Thanks for the warning, Temp.

It's easy to import your IE favourites into FF.

It's a white tiger, and they only survive in zoos. It probably couldn't take down a tabby in a fair fight.

I used to very used to IE too. then when i switch over to FF due to tabbing. woooo... since then middle click is something that i cannot live without during surfing net and especially browsing forum..... viewing a list of threads, i just click on those threads that i am interested in... and later go to the tab to check out.

it is definitely not hard to switch and with the extension and themes... FF is the only browser that i will ever use seriously.

i still use IE...only to check how my sites look like, check is there any broken design.

yes. maybe we aren't the majority, but I've pretty much always used IE.. FF is to slow for me :D

thx for letting us know about that directory, it's a shame that a nice name like that will have this crap on it :(
