2 year old site....I wanna take it to the next level, any ideas or criticisms?

Had my site Ohmcheck.com on the web about 2 years now, it does ok, but I would like take it to the next level, any ideas or things I should change? Thanks everyone.

You have good website, even you have a lot of image at your site, it load fast to me. My suggest is why not make your footer rounded like your header, it will looks balance mate. And your right sidebar looks very small space. Overall, you have great website mate. Good luck.

Thanks, right now I am bringing in around 4 to 5 thousand visits a month. I would really like to double that for a start, is the only way to spend money advertising the site??

 

I am on mozilla and the left sidebar seems to only show half. Are the articles unique? Add more good articles and add some interesting features like top 10 articles or an interactive feature. Exchange links with related sites niche. That helps a lot. Also target a few articles depending on popular titles. You can use Google Adword External Tool to help find relevant keywords. Goodluck.
p/s- adding a shoutbox would be nice too

I like your site it is very useful.

People -in general- if they need to solve problem, they will love to see how you solve it, they will be more interested in seeing it than readying about it. So I recommend to put the "How-to-Video" tab first and may be highlight it, you need every body to see it from the first impression.

I would create a new logo possibly with some light gradients and change the hover navigation color from orange to a light blue.

 

The header of the web site and the content looks like part of section 2, independently from each other. I think you better try different designs in the content section.

Maybe add more and more videos? New subjects and a slow redesigning.

 

Convert to a database. Bring your doctype up to a newer standered
xhtml. Get rid of your inline style and tables covert everything to css.
I mean the site is good it's just not up to date. Converting to a database driven website and php will make it a lot easier to update later.

While re-doing the website it is surely very important to re-align your thoughts and fine tune what you have been doing so far. 4-5K visits a months is good buy may not be good enough.
