Hello guys, I have purchased two domain names http://www.datency.com and http://www.datexy.com, and now I am having a real headache which one to use. Booth look quite good from different points of view. You guys are professionals. Could you please help me with you opinion and ideas. Highly appreciated and thank you in advance !
What are you trying to develop in these domains? I personally feel datency is better than detexy 'cos wen you spell datency there's no chance of a typo, But when you say datexy, people get confused it with datecsy. yes! There are such chances dude. Why take that chance? If you have no issues with the meanings (if thy have some), then, my vote is to datency.com Also, this simple to pronounce. Looks neat and professinal. People here at DP can suggest well, if you can give us an idea on what you are trying to host. hmm.. now i feel datexy is much catchy and brandable! lolz
well it all really depends on what you are trying to market or do...however i agree with the post above me the datency.com is better because it would avoid confusion
All the arguments above are valid. With datency you're also close to latency which is something meaningful and generic. With datexy I couldn't think of sth similar.
If you are planning to develop a dating site then go for datexy. Else of the two datency is more generic.
I agree with NeoGen on this one. I mean for a dating site datexy looks better. But the first choice (not knowing what you want your site to be) was datency.
You are right - there will be dating site behind one of these domains. Datexy looks shorter than datency. Well - on the other hand is better pronouncable. Also other webmasters hinted that datexy may be mistyped with dateksi, datecsi, etc.. and it looks like it's a gay dating or XXX site (what is not true). What you think ?
You might have same problem with datency.. it can be typed as datensee, datenci etc I would sum it up as: Datexy = Date Sexy Datency = Date and See or Date Fancy
I would say use datency as main domain while in the same time redirect the datexy to the datency main page. By doing this,you will not lose any traffic. Its a win win situation.
I vote for datency! it just sounds more serious to me. I dont know why but datexy just sounds like sexy for me
