i have a flashy theme and i heard that html websites work better then premium themes in recieving search engine traffic although, all pages on my website have been configured with the wordpress seo plugin which sets up titles, descriptions, and keywords.. etc by the way i recently changed domains from yoursuperbody.com to simplyshredded.com, my previous domain was pr2 and alexa rating 254,000 but yer if you can answer my question that would be helpful thanks
Switching domain names will definitely affect your site rankings. Did your new domain all ready have a good ranking or did you start from scratch?
oh yer im fully aware of that, but i had to change domains, my old domain, was PR 2 and alexa rating of 250,000 although on my new domain, i am gettin link submissions done and so on, so after a while it will eventually go back up ... although my question is the type of site i have, it is pretty flashy, and i heard sumwhere that these sites are bad for getting SE traffic... (becuase they are not simple html sites) if anyone can explain will rep good answers
I would not really worry about the search engines because if it is WordPress you should be fine but I doubt many humans will wait the 15 or 20 seconds it takes to just load the home page and then it scrolls really slow and wobbly. Way too much graphics!
