Building back links is a very important part of external search engine optimization. Back links help to establish relevancy of keywords and keyword phrases for websites. Free link directory websites are a great resource for adding back links to a website. When adding a back links from a link directory to your website it is important to use a relevant keyword phrase as anchor text and link to a page on your website that is most relevant to the keyword phrase of the anchor text. To maximize keyword performance, find a link directory website that has categories that are relevant to the topic of your website or web page that you are adding a back link to. Link directory websites help websites to get noticed by search engine bots and spiders, like GoogleBot. (This helps websites get indexed and increases targeted traffic from search engines.) When adding back links to a website remember; quality is more important that quantity. A few well placed back links can result in a lot of free traffic from search engines like; Google, Yahoo, and MSN. In my option adding 10 quality back links by hand is much more effective that adding 10,000 back links with a link submission service. Adding back links by hand is always recommended for best results. If anyone has any questions or comments on this topic, feel free to post them. Best Regards, Brett Topovski - SEO Expert
Okm but I added to many directory non of them approved.. and found in DP some SEO says that if get BL from dir too not much value ..what about urs commend on it
I agree with rena. Too much links from a page reduce the value too. For example, if a page have 100 links and the other page have 10 links, the value from 10 link/page is heavier.
I use digiXMAS and love it. It allows you to submit to 150 PR0 directories for free using unique titles. For $15 you cna post to about 1500 PR! - PR6 directories.
Yes, automatic directory submission software will get you nowhere. Manually submitting will produce some results but you are better off focusing on relevant, high quality links. I also agree that the less other links on a page linking to you the better as every other link takes some of the "link juice" away from your backlink.
Most of the directories are just useless, bring nothing good and pretty much aren't worth of the time wasted.
Yes, Google can tell if a link with the same description content has been submitted on many websites. I am recommending that webmasters take the time to submit links by hand, rather than trying to submit a link to many link directory websites at the same time. No, because you have to manually enter the captcha for those directories which require it. Also, each directory has different categories. You setup keywords and it looks for relevant categories and it also gets "smarter" the more you use it. But it is not fully automated. I don't think you would want that.
Back links should be linked to other pages of websites, rather than just the homepage. Back links should contain the same keywords that are used in the title of the page on the website that is back linked to. When creating back links that are linking back to the homepage of a website from many different free link directory websites, it is a good idea to use slightly different description text. It is okay to use the same link description content while linking back to a few directories, but it is a good idea to "keep mixing it up," if you are post a lot links back to the same page of a website.
