Summer income via the internet? please read :)

College is out for the summer and my mum is all up for me getting a summer job. To be honest I am too, but theres one problem. The only prospects of a job around here are factory work or washing up. I'd much rather do a job I can atleast tolerate. So anyway, heres the question, are there any ways you can make an average ($120 a week or so), regular income off the internet? I am quite prepared to work for it, but I'm just not sure what sort of things (if anything) I could do?

Unfortinatly I'm not particularly "good" at anything (Eg I can't script well, I can't do graphics design, etc) so I'd probably be working at the bottom but I'm more than prepared to put the time in.

    Any ideas?

I was thinking of possibly setting up myspace accounts and selling them? Like spending a week recruting as many friends as I could and then selling them on? If I could do 1 a week then it should be pretty regular, the only problem is I don't know if I'd be able to get enough friends in a week to make them saleable.

Well, i'd recommend that you get a part time job and Work on a good website, something you like and can dedicate time to, take the website and put a lot of work on it this summer...you might not earn a lot right away but if you put the time and energy and do it right, it'll start bringing you good money later.

That's exactly what I am doing this summer :)

P.S. you might want to do something you like doing, something unique, rather than just looking at short term money making look at a long term quality source of income.

better not. i tried to make a shopping site once for someone who "knows nothing about the internet". after 40 hours of work he complained "he, where is the wooden background? the animated send-email button? the large red marquee letters?" why do you want 1040,- for your php, sql and css stuff - the kid next doors knows everything about computers and did this frontpage design i sent you for only 130,-$! (this kind of sites you find at page 328 if you google for "new page 1")
so no money for me, 0, zero, nothing!

later i found another site of him advertising one one of my sites via bidvertiser...

Yea but I used to build websites and would charge my clients $200/month for hosting and $200/month for maintence for a so called 'starter package'. And that was before I built the site. If I marketed to real savv people they would know that could get hosting for $10/month, maintain it themselves, and get some freelance in India to build the damn site for $50 so they wouldn't need me anyway lol.

Why don't you try and make some $$ by helping ppl with pc problems. After all 90% of problems are minor.

If you can't script well or do graphics, perhaps you could make some cash by link building or content writing. Perhaps paid forum posting might suit.

The trouble with a lot of web building is it can take some time to get a result, and you only have a few weeks. So you're probably better off providing services for someone else's existing site, rather than starting from scratch on your own.

I have considered that, the only problem is I'm not sure where I'd find a list of 100 directories that are pr5

This job will not pay before a few months. Lots of directories are waiting for months to add you to their directory.
