Conservatives For Patients Rights

There's a group that's running ads/infomercials designed to create opposition to President Obama's attempts at health care reform. That group calls themselves: "Conservatives For Patients Rights."

Of course this is a misnomer as their real goal is not patients rights (otherwise they'd be a lot more concerned about the 86 million Americans who have gone without health insurance at some point over the last 2 years) but insurance company profits.

Their ads are full of distortions and should be considered nothing but commercials for health insurance companies.

Basically they are the enemy in the fight for health insurance reform. It's important that everyone be aware of who they really are and what their real purpose is.

just using the word conservative would doom their message. just as the "base" would start their bee like frenzy, the rest of the country will just block the annoying noise off. but we will hear the annoying buzzing sound of the republican base for while now.

So true. Any who oppose Obama's ideas should be ignored.

Any who oppose Obama's ideas should be shot. Then hung on meathooks in front of hospitals. After that we should enforce the "I'm okay, you had better damn well be okay" policy. Complainers will be detained. Dissidents will be shot.

...uber alles, uber alles in dem welt...

    "designed to create opposition"

That must sound like nails on a chalkboard to you.

It does when it comes from the health insurance companies. What's most sad to me is every day folks who are taken in by this nonsense. Who really think that this "movement" has something to do with every day people's "rights." This has *NOTHING* to do with people receiving quality health care or having "choice" - it has everything to do with making sure that some billionaires continue to be billionaires.

What's most ridiculous to me about their ads is how they use a few examples of something bad that's happened in a country with "socialized" health care. How about the 87 million people who don't have health insurance in the US during the last 2 years? You don't have to use a few out of context examples to show how bad the US system is, the evidence is overwhelming.

So true. We need to make sure those billionaires no longer are, and pass their money around the poorest in our nation.

Right again! Cuba's healthcare system is WAY better than our own. Anyone who has seen "Sicko" knows that.
