Thanks for pointing that out.
I could be wrong but I think that test on iwebtool checks for whether the domain is indexed in a particular search engine and if so, how many pages.
It does this by doing a: "site:www.domain.com" search on Yahoo (without the quotes)

To check for number of incoming links on Yahoo, you would usually do a:
"linkdomain:www.domain.com"

The tool at http://www.iwebtool.com/link_popularity does this and shows 331 links for www.VirusSoftware.org as follows:
MSN 3
Yahoo 165
Altavista 163
Total Listings 331
