Does anyone have any unique strategies or tips on getting a digg post a high number of "diggs"? thanks -Braydon
In a perfect world that would be right, but it's not even close. You also need to have a tight relationship with a few diggers. I used to use Digg's shouts to my advantage, but that's been taken away so now I have other means of contacting diggers. You basically need anywhere from 10 to 40 diggs just to get your article onto the upcoming page of whatever category you submitted to. Once there, if you do have good content, the diggs will naturally follow.
Theres no secret recipe but theres a few things you need A, Great content that people want to read, lists are a great one. B, Friends Diggers stick together, network hard, begg, borrow and begg again for diggs. C, Helps to have a site or author thats well known D, Luck
I have a huge list of followers on twitter...so simply ask my followers to digg my latest article or blog post
I suggest you to write catchy subject lines that will attract the visitors at digg. You should focus upon unique and quality contents, this way your visitors will return back .
I will give two links about getting a high digg posts and I am hoping that it will help you. http://theblogosfer.com/seo-tutorial/226-get-free-backlink-from-high-pr-page-on-digg.html http://www.mysupercoach.com/blog/blog-marketing/how-to-get-traffic-from-digg-and-technorati/
create great stuff make so people digg it plus 10,000 friends to digg it you will be on your way for massive traffic.
It helps if you are active yourself... and when I say active I don't mean digging like 5-10 stories a day. I digg lots of good content... probably 75-125 stories per day. If anyone has any questions you can shoot me a PM.
I would say B is the secret recipe I have seen someone Digg a unique article only to have a "power digger' submit the same/similar story and watch their Diggs soar as the original owner with less friends got barely any. Digg is really a social network...the news is still relevant but you have to be in with the "in-crowd" or chances are you won't be getting many Diggs. To counter this you could always buy Diggs if you can afford it and hope people just like to flock to new things...if not wait and hope a power digger digs your story (if it's a possibility) or just digg it yourself, swallow the traffic and pick up some backlinks.
