What is the maximum traffic a site can achieve per day?

Hi all,

I was wondering can anyone tell me what is the maximum traffic a site can achieve per day on average? I am not talking about the big fishes in this business, but rather the middle level successful webmasters. Anyone who can give me this answer?

 

As far as I know there is no max. only how much your server can handle and the bandwidth. The highest I got was at 51,000 page views with 27,000 unique visitors in febuary 9th on 1 site of mione.

 

awesome, how long did it take you to get to this level in traffic? and if you dont mind me asking how much money do you make from traffic like that?

 

Wow, that is quite a lot of page views and unique visitors. I have a new site but I am having some problems getting more visitors to it.

That happened after the second page i have submitted to stumbleupon I made about 16.00 dollar's that day. I get from them now anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 page views a day and the last time I have submitted a page there was back in march now the viewer's give thumbs up to pages and it just keeps going I had last wednesday up to 17,000 page views.. i am making well over a hundred a month.

 

Max I got was 17000 one day with more then 35000 page views then a big drop, these days getting 3000 only

 

i get only 200 per day .. funny but i am aware of sites with million views per day. I can bet that shared hosting cannot sustain such traffic .. rather you need dedicated server

 

No maximum, as many as you can. Just need to ensure your server is big enough

 

even MS's sites are getting down if they get a lot of visitors. And can you imagine their servers? lol
Be sure you have really good servers if you plan to host such traffic

 

its simple more than the yahoo and google can.......

 

Was that for just one day you talking about? if yes, then thats good. But doesn't such sudden spike alert google and all?

all of them can improve your page rank and page views. Especially unique content brings lots of page views thru search engine

Why would alert google like putting a red flag up they know where the traffic is coming from.It's a social bookmarking network believe me there are other websites on networks that are even doubling that amount.

 

So should i say that social networking sites to get huge traffic?

There no maximum. A site can achieve a million or more hits per day. Does anyone here how much traffic Google gets everyday?
