0.85 on my first day with completelly not targeted ads for my site Not bad I have give it full day today, I took adsense off the most pages, and completelly out from homepage. CPC are disaster last 2 weeks, and they dont allow images near add anymore
Why should the CTR be crap ? I'm newbie to this , but as a visitor, when reading about a certain product , I will often just visit ads/links about it (specially when done and on the same page) ...
CTR is usually a function of relevance. CTR for "LCD" will be good if your page is about "LCD." CTR for "LCD" will not be good if your page is about Rachel Hunter.
my adsense earning are good, but not made any penny out of chitika minimails yet, my cos my site is non us site
Chitika has a new "Mega" sized ad unit available which appears to be performing quite well for some publishers.
I think chikta is NOT an alternative but it's an ADDITIVE to the adsense. I am using chikita premium for only 1 channel (ad block ) in my site and payout is a little more then $1.5 CPM, not as good as google but when you combine them together its way over $5 CPM.
Using Mega Ad is a way to go but you can actually increase your daily Chitika earning 2 to 3 times. I write about in my blog http://thecooltools.blogspot.com/2009/06/best-position-of-chitika-ads.html
I realize the click value varies, but approximately how many impressions per month and what CTR does it take to make money with adsense type ads? I've used adsense and made tens of cents per month. Is it because my traffic is too low or is my CTR too low? >>> Mike
It could be either, but we can't tell you because we don't know your page impression or CTR numbers. Worse, you can't tell us -- because doing so would violate the AdSense Program Policies. If your earnings really were "tens of cents per month", it was probably a traffic issue. This is off-topic for this thread, so you might want to make a new thread for this discussion.
It's generally a combo. The more targeted to your site the ads you serve are, the higher your CTR will generally be, and the less traffic you'll need to see decent money. Conversely, the more traffic you have, the lower CTR you need to see income. Ideally, you work on both - find ads that are located and targeted better for your readers, and work on good copy and SEO to bring more traffic to the site. You can't really win by concentrating on just one. Also, remember that where on the page your ads are located factors heavily into CTR.
metagold Sorry to hear that. What were your AdSense and/or other advertising revenues during that period?
Still Chikita could be used to earn that big money more? I nowadays cant earn even 5$ to be a real money. All is just balance online and i cant cashout those money. So regret.
