5 Ways to Boost Your Google Adsense CTR

There are Adsense publisher for some time now, and it would like to share 5 Adsense techniques that helped me increase your monthly Adsense income. Hopefully these tips will work for you, too.

    1. Blend your Ad background with your content. Nothing turns off a visitor more than a page that's full of loud ads. Take a calmer approach to your advertising, and make your Adsense ads look like relevant, helpful content instead of instant money makers.

    2. Stay away from the Default Adsense Template. As web surfers, we all have become oblivious to the default Google Adsense layout. Alter your palette, and bring an original look to your site's Adsense units.

    3. Use Blue Links. Ever since the internet was born, visitors clicked on blue links. Everyone's used to it. So stick with the blue links, and test lighter/darker versions of them.

    4. Use fewer Adsense Units. When I switched from 3 adsense units to 2, I experienced a quick boost in CTR. Many of your Adsense units go unnoticed, which hurts CTR and CPM. Experiment with few Adsense units, and see if it helps your CTR or not.

    5. Test, Test, Test. This is the most important concept of all. Never get too complacent with your CTR. You can probably always do better. Always use channel tracking to follow your changes. Keep testing and tweaking, and so enough you will find the best Adsense recipe for your websites.

One factor is more important than all the layouts, designs, features or whatever

That is more traffic, it is really that simple, more traffic means more clicks

That's the number one differentiator that guarantees a bigger revenue return for your site

I agree with britishguy with other factors the main factor is Traffic only then and then you can earn money. Does not matter if your site is very nice looking and clean coded if it does not have high traffic.

so getting traffic to a website is the key to earn money through Adsense. But depend only on Quality traffic so do not try to buy traffic or do traffic exchange try to get as many visitors as you can only from Search engines.

Getting the Maximum out of Google AdSense: Strategy Classification

Google AdSense program has given an altogether new purpose to websites. Besides serving content or selling products and services, websites are now being used to generate revenue through serving Google AdSense Ads. The webmasters employ various strategies in order to extract the maximum out of Google AdSense program. There is no formal classification available for these strategies (nor can all the strategies be determined), however, the following 3 classifications are said to be more prevalent than the others:

    1. Traffic Generation: Since the revenue generation from Google AdSense Ads is based on the CPC (cost-per-click) and CPM (cost per thousand impressions) basis, the more traffic your have to your website the better are your chances of getting good revenue through AdSense. Most webmasters are fully aware of this fact and employ various tricks to generate high traffic to their website. All such tricks fall under the category of ‘Traffic Generation’.

    2. Converting traffic to Clicks: Clicks seem to be the best way of increasing AdSense revenue. Prompting the website visitors to click on the AdSense Ads can make a big difference in terms of the AdSense revenue that you earn. A good copy can make the website visitors more confident about your website and hence encourage them to go ahead click the AdSense Ads. Besides the website copy, the website owners apply several other means for getting more clicks. These form the ‘Converting traffic to Clicks’ category.

    3. Attracting High Value AdSense Ads: Besides the traffic to your website, your AdSense revenue is also based on the value of the AdSense Ads. So, some Ads produce more revenue when they are clicked/displayed than the others. This is determined using the Adwords system. Some webmasters develop websites primarily for AdSense revenue generation. These webmasters choose the website topic and orient the content in such a way so as to attract high value AdSense Ads. These tricks form the “Attracting High Value AdSense Ads” category.

OP is talking about CTR. 10 visits or 10 millions, the CTR might be the same and OP is giving tips to increase it.

Agree. Even the psychologic bold > rule was not mentioned. So we might even know more than OP. We need something we don't know....

I acutally have a customized template for one of my sites which allows me to get a 15% average CTR which is really good.

Meanwhile I get more traffic, and in my opinion it is less SEO opitmised that the other "white" pages I use. So I stick with my old templates for most of my websites.

But I intend to test this successful template on a new website on a new niche ;). If i can reach in a week to reach 50 unique visitors per day which lets say makes 80 pages views i'll earn:

    80*0.15*0.35 = $4.2 a day * 30 = $126 a month ...

    If i add this to the 200€ a month i earn ;)

I agree. It's come to characterize DP anymore. Post a bunch of nonsense and everyone falls all over themselves to thank you. Just absurd...

I agree with it! EVen I have only one ad unit on my site.
And I feel that only one is good as if I put more it would look messed up.
