WTF - ZERO Clickbank sales in 3 days?

Is anybody else experiencing a dramatic slowdown in Clickbank sales the past few days?

I normally get 8 - 15 sales a day from multiple Clickbank products.

Since Tuesday I have ZERO on steady, normal traffic.

No way this is just a blip on the radar.

Everything is "normal" here..."Normal" being several sales an hour for a couple hours, then nothing for 10 hours, then sales again...blah, blah, blah.... Unfortunately I doubt anything will ever change...

I haven't experienced any issues with Clickbank the past few days. Still getting normal number of sales.

These threads pop up all of the time, and not just for ClickBank. Every affiliate program with a forum for people to congregate has people that question the stability of company X.

It is either bad luck with sales, there is a problem with your site (make sure your .htaccess isn't giving away your commissions to somebody else), or possibly a delay in the appearance of sales but any widespread commission loss would be picked up by a mass of people at a time, not just a scattering of individuals.

I've had a bit of a slow week. Maybe they're split testing some stuff, or... maybe it's just been a slow week. It happens :)

8-15 to 0 is very odd... Though i have also experienced a low (10-15% less sales with the same traffic) for last one month but not that much what you have.

Anyways keep on trying and diversify your portfolio of products as we can not do anything about their payment processing. Sometimes it works properly and some day a lot of credit card declines.

yeah I guarantee this will happen if you contact clickbank: they will say something like there seems to be nothing wrong with our system or tracking

and then suddenly you will start to make sales again
its odd how it always works like that

Well, I finally figured out what was going on ... why I went from 8-15 sales a day to ZERO.

First, keep in mind that there are quite frequently 2 ways to create the hop link .. one via the Clickbank MarketPlace, and the other from the Vendor's own website.

I usually use the Clickbank Marketplace to generate my hop links.

Last night I went back to the Marketplace and re-created one of my hop links where my sales suddenly and completely stopped. I then decrypted it to get the old-style version of the URL. Yep, it matched what I had in my HTML pages. I checked it to make sure it was working, and it was. Actually I knew it was because my Clickbank stats show many hops to this vendor. Just no more sales.

I then went to the Vendor's own website and created the hop link from there. SOB ... THE HOP LINK IS DIFFERENT! From the marketplace the hop link is h**p://myid.vendor.hop.clickbank.net, but from the vendor's own website the hop link is h**p://myid.completelydifferent.hop.clickbank.net!

The 2 hop links go to different URLs, but the pages look exactly the same.

So I changed some of my links to use the new hop link h**p://myid.completelydifferent.hop.clickbank.net and guess what? Yep, you guessed it .... I started getting sales again. Except now all my sales are comming from the NEW hop link. Still not a single one from the old one.

What total BULLSH*T. Clickbank stats show hops to BOTH links. I'm just not getting credit for sales from the old one.

I'm awaiting a reply from those inept a-holes at Clickbank.

BTW ... I discovered 2 months ago that a different ongoing Clickbank error was screwing me for months. When I brought it to their attention they apologized and said they would correct the problem. (hop links were still working for Vendors who left the network months prior. I sent traffic there but never got a sale because they had a different backend payment-processor).

Why does this vendor have two ids and websites? Maybe something is wrong with the first site?

Wow this is very strange.. It never really crossed my mind when I've seen two different versions of of hop links, I always thought that the clickbank marketplace ones were the right ones... Thanks for sharing this

Surly, they don't help to promote. But this thing has been noted by many affiliates out here.

Steady Traffic normally 4-6 sales a day from clickbank but some days I get none. I think their is something wrong with their tracking.
