Hi I was wondering if people could take a look and let me know why you think people are not registering. We started slow, and then every month through tons of effort and hard work have raised the traffic. In the first month we had about 50 to 60 uniques a day, now we have close to 300 uniques a day, but still not many registering members. I would appreciate any and all imput on the matter. Thank you for your time Here is the site . http://www.epicopinion.com All suggestions are welcome.
The forum looks more attractive. I think the status icon for the thread looks too large, try to decrease its size..
Looks professional, but seems a bit dark, not just visually, but psychologically for some reason. Maby changing the logo would help. For some reason, my subconscious interprets your logo as occult. I am just being brutally honest with my first impression.
Looks very nice but somehow it is missing the needed sharpness .. currently it looks a bit dark and blurry. Otherwise i like the idea and everything else. vBulletin is my favorite board platform.
I have no idea how you get occult from that, but ok. It's a common celtic symbol used in many tattoos and such.
I wonder why people didn't register. The only possible reason could be that the traffic was non-targeted? Design seems good and I actually liked the icons >_>
What do you mean by non targeted? We gets tons of traffic. That's the problem we are upto about 2000 unique people a month now and, as you can see only barely 200 members. We have tons of guests online all the time. Like I said I will take any and all advice But whats non-targeted?
To me it looks way to busy and the background color is to dark. I can tell that you do get a lot of traffic by your Google page rank of 2 and your Alexa Traffic Rank of 526,678.
What do you mean by busy? Someone else said that, but didnt explain it. And yeah the people show up, they just dont stay I dont know
Studies have shown that people who visit a light colored website are more likely to return to it than a dark colored website. This phrase "If you have an idea, a thought, or just a random opinion, you have come to the right place." makes me believe that this forum has no real purpose. Make the forum kind of a niche forum. You can still do this, but have areas for people to talk about different things unrelated to the niche. For example, Digital Point is geared toward web development and SEO, but there are places to talk about different things such as politics. Student.com is geared towards high school students, but has a sections to talk about random things. You may find yourself more members if you appeal to a niche group rather than appealing to the masses, believe it or not!
You Need To Hire Profissonal Who Can Keep This fourm Updated Daily, Because There is Big Competiton Nowdays in Warez forums You Have Great Forums Out there. Also About Registration. You Have to provide Unique Goodies You Have to be Updated Daily Anyway if u need any help pm Thanks
200 users is about on with 2000 uniques a month. That's really not that much traffic for a forum. The forum I co-own gets 14,000 uniques a month and we see a similar ratio of members joining. One thing that will help is regularly updated forums, even if you pay some people on DP to make your forums "look" busy.
Too busy is like when you walk into a room and there's too much stuff in it, that was my first impression when i went to your forum, That may be why you are not getting as many people to register as you would like. if it was me I would make my headline background color white and use black letters and Hot Link "Register" with blue link color, It a proven fact that people will click on a blue link before they will any other color.
...it's too general a site. you are trying to tie everything together under the 'epicness' concept, but it's a bit tenuous. maybe you can try to specialise a little more. the site looks inviting tho, you just need to tweak it a bit.
That's a pretty typical issue with every forum. People love to window shop but don't want to take the time to commit. Your best bet is to get as much interesting content as possible on there, get your friends and family to post. Create an online contest or something you can promote to draw people to your site and register. Take advantage of the millions of marketers looking for do-follow forums by offering them a category where they can promote their own sites as long as they create 20-30 quality posts for you.
1) the look of the site is dull 2) not much traffic so there will be eaven less members joining up 3) what does your forum have to offer that others dont
We have a decent amount of traffic. That's not the problem. We have tons of backlinks and first page google search terms. And they do have a light skin you can switch to at the bottom. But I dont think its dull. And I guess the only way you can find out what we offer that others dont is to sign up and see
