If you do a search on Google for work online , i can see most of these sites are scams ... anyone has tried dataentrypro.com?
Yeah, this is definitely a big problem that too many people get suckered into. I wrote an article about freelance work from home scams (includes info on offline scams too) a while ago for my Consulting / Freelance site: http://www.allinfoaboutconsulting.com/index.php?page=63 Internationally, I'm not sure of the best organzations to check with for legitimacy, but in the article, I at least gave you a few examples of places to check "employers" like these out if you're in the US. The key is just to be careful, and keep a healthy skepticism. Jenn
Does anyone reading this thread know of any legit work-from-home type of jobs? I ask on behalf of my girlfriend, who is unfortunately agoraphobic and has a hard time holding a real job. I am able to pay all of the bills for both of us, but we really don't have anything 'extra' at the end of a month. We are experimenting with opening up webpages w/ ads (thanks to this site and its posters), but we need something concrete. She's not looking to get rich working from home.. even something in the range of like 300-400 dollars a *month* would make her happy. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What is she into? Set her up with a blog and help her promote it. Add some adsense and try some other affiliate programs from www.cj.com You may start seeing substantial traffic if her writings appeal to the right visitors.
Thank you for the suggestion.. that is actually what we're doing right now. I'm working on a website (general information), she is going to start a blog. Again, we aren't looking to make a fortune... just a few dollars on the side. I'm not sure how that cj.com site works, but I doubt we would be able to afford it's services. As I said, I make enough from my job to pay bills, but little more than that. Again, thank you for your suggestions
The only legit work from home outfit I've seen is http://www.willowcsn.com/ . It's a virtual call center that has a lot of fortune 500 clients (home depot, virgin atlantic, AAA, etc.) I think there is an initial fee required and you have to have your own PC / Internet connection. -jay
Thanks Jay, I will take a look. Do you know if that is for residents of the US only? I have sent an e-mail to see, but I don't know when I will get a response. To explain a little.. we are Canadians. (Please don't hurt us )
