    I created a search engine last month and sold it. How is it possible for the search engine to get a pagerank of 2 in so little time?

    i'd say backlinks. also, whoever bought it must know a lot about SEO. and shouldn't you be glad your search engine is doing well? :D

    Targeted link building from high-pr sites will do the trick pretty quick.

    It does seem kinda ironic that one search engine bestows a rank on another...don't you think?

    your website must be having some quality backlinks, and sometime sites get PR update fluctuation without the major PR update as well.

    Getting tons of back links in order to get PR2.. Quality of back links and I'm talking about relevancy.. You have to submit your URL to relevant site and DoFollow ones..
