converting unique to alexa

    hi guys,

    i wonder, is there a way to convert the numbers of unique visitors a website is getting a day to alexa ranking ?

    Nope, for all I know there is no reliable method. In fact the alexa ranking itself would not give a correct indication as there are too many variables around.

    Alexa is worked out by your visitors having the alexa toolbar. So you could have thousands of unique visitors but an alexa of like 20,000,000 becuase none of them have the toolbar

    So to increase your alexa encourage them to install the tool bar.

    Generally I have found SU visits = Increase in Alexa rank since a lot of people with SU (esp those folks with interest in stuff like blogging, web designing etc) have alexa installed.

    I don't think there's much to expose really ... They have all the browsing statistics from everyone who uses their toolbar and they just calculate the percentages for each and every website in the sistem.

    i don't think they calculate the toolbar data anymore... or atleast that's not the only data they use to rank website. Most of the high rank webmaster related sites, do not have good alexa ranks anymore...

    +1 just like pagerank it's just for considiration. it is not true traffic proof.

    i have websites that have bad alexa rank but very good uv.
