And he has continued exploiting the system all of his adult life.

BTW, Obama is now at 31% approval... a 5% drop over last week. WOW!!!

Obama will continue to be popular for a while longer. Early next year we will probably see another $1 trillion 'Christmas' stimulus. The stock market is up as well so that will help his popularity.

You actually believe that he "may" be or are you just accidentally letting your hatred for something other than his policies show again?

BTW right wing lunatics, Obama is still popular. :) 64% today.

Oh and he may have just nominated an "illegal alien" for the Supreme Court. After all Sonia Sotomayor is not white so she must not be a real American.

Obama has presented no proof that he is a US citizen or born in the US.

In April 2008 the U.S. Senate approved a non-binding resolution recognizing McCain's status as a natural born citizen.

Clarence Thomas is a Republican :D

I'm curious, do any of you still think that waterboarding isn't torture? I mean anyone who thinks that should really go through it themselves like this guy did.

Al Qaeda are unlawful combatants and not eleigible for the protections of the third Geneva Convention.

Now, don't you go pointing that out to them . People don't understand that. Terrorists are not lawful combatants, therfore not afforded the protections of the Geneva Convention. They have not committed crimes on US Soil (as in, within US Jursidiction) and therfore the laws protecting criminals that do are not extended to protect them as well.

And to answer your question, no. Torture is the act of inflicting excruciating pain, as punishment or revenge, as a means of getting a confession or information, or for sheer cruelty.

Not only that, the things they do to captured Americans are far, far worse than having a little water poured on your head.

    It's sad, but funny...

He's popular with that 30% or so of the "takers" in society... and still slightly popular with those that feel sorry for that "takers". The producers on the other hand have had enough of this shit. We're taking our business and our production elsewhere.

Ironic how the "stock market" going up would help his popularity given his ignorant comments about the stock market.

"Stock Market 'Ups and Downs' Unimportant"

    http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/stock_market_obama/2009/03/03/187868.html

"may" suggests its plausible. I'm a Conservative. We do not "hate". Its not in our nature. We disagree, yes. Hate? No. That paradox drives the libs nuts...

You're off by about 30%... Its actually 34% as of today. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ministration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Not sure where you get your numbers. Do you make them up?

Nothing like separating people into groups... Don't you guys ever get tired to being so backwards?

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
    It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love, (da da da da da)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now) (da da da da da)
All you need is love (everybody) (da da da da da)

    *sigh*

That right wing radio host was saying the same nonsense you're saying now and then he actually went through it himself. His tune changed really quick. Are conservatives so lacking in basic empathy that they can't understand anything that they don't go through themselves?

I can see why "empathy" is such a scary word for conservatives, they don't have any understanding of it.

"a little water poured on your head" - For Christ's sake! This is DROWNING. This is not having a little water poured on your head. It is SIMULATED DEATH.

Watch what "Mancow" has to say about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE6fsn_c644

"the things they do to captured Americans are far, far worse"

This has to be the absolute worst argument EVER. We are AMERICA. We do not set our standards for behavior on those of terrorists. Jesus H. Christ. YOU ARE WRONG. Admit it. It's embarrassing for you. Seriously.

lol no, its not embarrassing me. I'm not wrong.

We are not bound by ANYTHING to treat them any better than they treat us. NOTHING. The government does far worse and you never hear about it, and never will.

No need to bring emotions into this (empathy). Unlike you, and all the other liberals, I don't base my opinions on emotions. I base them on what gets the job done. Asking questions over and over again gets nothing done. Using a little persuasion to help get the truth out of them...that actually produces results. Results which have saved this country countless times. Things you will never ever know about. Things most of the US will never, ever know about.

And it is not drowning. Drowning requires the water to enter your lungs. If you are drowning you do not make any noises other than a gutteral noise. He actually made some noise.

In the simplest of terms. If it saves American lives, I don't care what methods are employed.

Keep in mind Truman dropped a bomb that incinerated tens if not hundreds of thousands in an instant. He did so knowing full well what the fall out would be and knowing full well that he was saving some 1/2 million American lives and ending a war in the process.

I believe in Consequentialism. The end always justifies the means.

If water boarding saves American lives, then I'm not going to argue against it. Hell, if beating the shit out of these ingrate ignorant fucks saves American lives, I'll be the first in line with a bat. We used to do things a bit differently during the Cold War, which is obviously why we had such a prolonged period of peace. The lax nature of recent Liberals in Washington brought us a bunch of interesting challenges which is why we are at the point we are at now.

    Hahaha!!

Nice! Well the problem is this newfound "niceness". Couple that with The Democrat's desire to extend the protection granted in the constitution and the bill of rights to combatants and illegal aliens and now we have a real good vs. evil discussion.

They cannot tell us where or when the combatants or the aliens were bestowed that protection. They just know that Republicans are "bad"and Democrats are "good" because of it.

They forget the horrors of 911. They forget that it is the job of government and the military to protect us. Bush did that very well. Looks like we tortured some prisoners. 65% of those prisoners end up back on the battle field. In the future we should no longer take any prisoners. Just shoot them all and there will be no discussion.

Oh lord. I won't even bother to respond to anymore of this nonsense. It's just so insane. Where do you start? With the fact that it shouldn't even be a question? That it's immoral to torture? That torture has been proven to be ineffective at getting real information because people will say anything to make it stop? That torture actually provokes the enemy and is used as a recruiting tool? No matter what metric you use whether it's morals or results - Torture is a huge failure. Anyone who can't realize that lacks basic sense. It doesn't take empathy, just basic logical thinking skills.

    Revolutionary war, soldier to George Washington;
"We have captured British soldiers, what shall we do with them?"

    Washington's reply;
"Treat them with humanity, and let them have no reason to complain of our copying the brutal example of the British Army."
