My schedule is ok I guess, but I have to say I'm not organized, I'm trying to set a routine so hopefully it becomes a habit. I think about what to write during the day, when I get home I try to post, look for good ideas here in the forum, answer yahoo questions, post an article twice per week on go articles and ezine, comment on other blogs around four times per week. Problem is I'm not consistent, I'm working on it. Please share any good blogging habits you might have that I and other bloggers can get ideas from. Thanks Ruben
I just try and write as much and as frequent as I can. I use Wordpress as well and if your really on your game you can write a few posts and set them to publish sometime in the future. Means my blog will just update itself even when im out!
I also schedule posts and articles. When I have time, I write a lot, then schedule posts to drop over the next few days. Ditto with articles. They can be saved in a Draft mode and then submitted one per day or whatever schedule you want
I try to make a list of article topics I want to write about... then I go through and write them all and schedule them to be posted a few days apart so that I have time to write more. Then, I go back and spice the articles up with cross-links and images before they are posted (the post schedule date kindof like a deadline that motivates me)
Keep a small journal and list down the things you would like to write about. Bring a camera with you and take photos for the topics you are planning to work on. Apart from blogging, I have a 9-5 job. I do note taking whenever ideas come up and write about them when I get home. After writing 5 articles, I visit my social networking sites, and comment on other blogs and forums. It takes a while to get acustomed to this habit and become productive.
Same as you sometime we canot organized the schedule, for me I'm started with my mood first before updating a blog, if I got an idea on certain article I just update and make an auto schedule on that article for updating.
There's nothing easy about coming up with blog content.... at least for me. I like the suggestion of carrying around a camera. Fortunately blogs don't have to be newspaper-quality journalism. The important thing is just to keep at it. Good luck!
