Hi guys Can anyone share with me how to promote and increase traffic for new celebrity site ? Except using twitter and social bookmarks.
Have you ever seen the TV shows entertainment tonight and "The View"? Start a youtube channel something like that. Do at the very least weekly updates on the latest hollywood gossip. Have a couple of people of different racial backgrounds join you in the show. As an example, go to youtube and look up Travis and Johnathon. They are a couple of redneck hicks that have a massive amount of fans on youtube. Do a show something like theirs, but about the hollywood teenage drama stuff. Youtube can drive some pretty good traffic to your site, you just have to market yourself to the audience.
There are tonnes of ways to get traffic to your sites... you say don't want social media but myspace would be great. Make friends with all the celebrities, put links to your site on myspace so people can see the latest news and click and go to your site to find out the rest. Twitter is a very good one. What news will you put on your site? What kind of site is it anyways?
I didn't said that I don't want to use social media, I'm already using it to promote my sites. That's why I'm asking for tips other than social media to promote and increase traffic to new celebrity site.
That is going to be rough since your competition will be all the news sites. What I would recommend besides all the basic link building techniques is to corner a part of your niche that is not already dominated by all the major news companies. LOL I think your celebrity website will probably be as hard to market as my make money website. One thing to do is optimize your website of course and also participate on blogs covering celebrities. Make sure to ask for link exchanges from all of the celeb's websites and if possible try to get a celeb to endorse your website. You definitely picked one of the most difficult niches to compete in.
