Google slow in indexing new sites this days?

I usually get any site indexed in a day or two with minimum work (a link here and there).

About 3 weeks ago I have launched a new site that I will eventually developed to be big site, but now I have just put some articles on it (unique). Site is second in my signature.

The site is still not being indexed. I have a lot of links to it already, but google does not come. Also I have adsense on, added sitemap. That usually prompted google to come, but not this time.

    I have this questions:
    1. Is google slow to index sites now?
    2. if domain is banned, would I see that in webmaster tools (I don't get any warning now). This domain was bought from previous owner, I don't know what he did with it.
    3. does google handle .info domains with extra care (we all know this are usually spammy domains)

    thanks you!

I had no problem getting my .info indexed and ranked within a week or two. You may want to try creating more pages for your site. You really just have 1 page with unique content. Other than that, you probably just need more quality backlinks. I do think Google is slow these days, but you should be able to still speed things up. I don't think Google Webmaster Tools would tell you that a domain is banned. You should do some investigating....check all backlinks, check waybackmachine cache of the site, check whois change history, etc. I don't think Google handles .info domains any different, but certain niches are likely more closely monitored.

New pages with a decent amount of back links still seem to get listed quickly... but that creates a chicken/egg conundrum.

i have been indexed in less than a week... i submitted to google 7 days ago, my sitemap 3 days ago and now, if I look for the domains word it comes first, and also got like10 visits coming from google this week, so I'm really happy...
I made a lot of digg/twitter submissions, so maybe that helped me a little bit, anyway, I got 350 unique visists so far...

Probably because the site was banned from google. If you go to archive.org and do a search for watchtv.info, there is one result from January 23, 2008 - and its a links site.

When a site is turned into a links site, sometimes the owner of the domain let the name expire, it was then picked up by someone else. But regardless of what happened, someone owned that domain name a few years ago and might have got it banned.

With a name like watchtv.info, I am willing to bet that someone had a bunch of videos recorded off TV on the site. The owner of the videos filed a copyright infringement claim with google and the site was delisted and banned.

My personal opinion, I think you should go into your google webmaster tools and submit a request for reinclusion. Someone from google will then review your site.

I think it changes according to the number of sites they have to Index.

I've noticed that new pages I've added to my own site are taking a bit longer than usual to index. But I'm not too concerned. It's just a matter of time (few extra days hopefully) before things will get rolling on the new content. Maybe they're not being processed as quickly or maybe just a large influx of new stuff out there I guess

I think it just has to do with the load of pages needing to be indexed. Someone had a post on here about how they were indexed in just a few hours.

I have built many sites, mostly wordpress and these get indexed very quickly (as to be expected) but I have three none wordpress which after a month are not indexed, iv submitted a site map and also linked from my wordpress site. Also done lots of seo and site submissions and also have also submitted articals with back links. Have no idea how long this will take?

Google index used to be very slow at times, but sooner or later it will pick up. You just have to continue working on the site.

I launched Free Arcade Games Now on April 22nd and now have 12,000 pages indexed.

I launched 28 sites in the last five weeks and all are indexed fully.

    I used sitemaps for all.

I am still not indexed, so now I am pretty sure domain is banned in google. I will add more content and ask for reconsideration.

It is really strange that it's not written in my webmaster tools that domain is banned. Isn't that usually written there?

I think good sitemaps are the way forward to aid indexing. A HTML sitemap on the site, which can also aid user navigation, and having an up-to-date XML Sitemap uploaded to Google Webmaster Tools.. then it's a question of patience and continuing to add quality and value to the site so that Google will keep coming back!
