My site gets very few hits a day. When i go to webmster tools it says it hasnt been crawled and the site:mysite.com doesnt show anything. The thing is I have statcounter showing hits and when I check the stats it shows where they did a google or yahoo search and I can see my the listing with my site link on it. whats up with that? How old is your site? It takes time before a site gets crawled by SEs. If you could post the URL, that would be better.
yeah so that explains why I do get very few hits is from yahoo and msn Strange thing is I make a little money still. I made like 60 bucks last month LOL I just saw were I had sitemap and robots.txt issues on google webmaster tools. I got those squared away so should I expect to see google picking up the site in a few weeks? Thanks to you all for the replys
I just got a visitor to the site- San Francisco California United States 216-239-45-4.google.com (216.239.45.4) would that be the crawler bot?

Yeah, that one would be much easier I guess If you are still not index (things happen, you know...), submit the xml sitemap and get some links - that will do the job, fast and secure.
Sign up to google webmasters tools and submit your sitemap and don't forget to go over the webmasters guidelines to see if your not in any violation.
I did the xnl and links late last night and I just checked my statcounter it said google was on the site for 7 hours? Does it take that long? As far as checking to see if its indexed, it is not on google but is on yahoo. The question i have now, is since google was crawling the site early this morning and its now 6pm and still not indexed on google. How long after getting crawled does it usually take to show up indexed?? TY Again
You are not indexed by google is when you go to google search and type site:yoursite.com nothing comes up. You could try submiting your site to digg.com to get indexed quickly.
go to google search and do a site:yourdomain.com search to check it out.. im having trouble myself with getting sites indexed by google..
I have already done all that and there is no question as to if its been indexed or not. it has not. But when I did all the things you just mentioned last night my site tracker show google visiting my site this morning and said they were on it for 7 hours . So Im guessing it was being crawled this later that night. But this evening its still not indexed.
