I think the definition of 'success story' is too broad a term. If we're measuring success in dollars, I would quote the old phrase "It's not how much money you make, it's how much you keep". To me it's about lifestyle though. Not about cash flow. For starters, I would never disclose my earnings on these forums. Too much - and people want to take advantage of you. Too little - and people won't take you seriously. The issue is that this magic middle number is not a constant, so it's best just to avoid disclosing it altogether. Being successful is about what you can do. Power, not wealth. What does AdSense, or more importantly 'being an Internet Marketeer' enable you to do? What life can you now live that you couldn't before?
From that blog (which is updated about 2x a week), nothing impressive, $10-$20 a day http://www.sbfantasyportfolio.com/index.asp#Home.asp
To many 'feed portal info' type sites out there that just take other peoples content feeds and spew them out while offering no value to the visitor. People need to make websites the old fasion way by just typing out original content that visitors can actually use.
No, I meant your overall daily/monthly adsense earnings, but if you don't want to talk about it, its fine.
I was banned for invalid clicks caused by a competitor and moved to YPN. Make slight less now, around 30 USD/day, selling my first vbulletin site and moving on to another venture, hopefully it'll be successful. Now the only problem I have is college, yes, it sucks doesn't it, I could be making this bunch of money but college has always been keeping me busy. Any suggestion you guys? Should I follow Bill Gates' steps? Or the general publics'?
Well, ya'll inspired me to go and "up ad" my main site. I had decided some months back to take the adsense off the front page and use that real estate to try to channel people towards my own products instead. Which has worked - sales of ebooks went up (from abysmal to slow). But I hadn't done anything to the other pages, most of which were at one banner, one link unit, and a couple of referral buttons. So last night I went through and brought everything up to three banners, putting new ones in the Adsense recommended "hot zones", etc. (Still not on the index page, mind you, although I added a homemade ad for my cafepress stuff there.) Yesterday's CTR: 1.47%. Today's CTR: 6.17%. Yipee. Of course, I'm still a page 8 google search for my primary keyword, so no plans to quit the day job yet.
I agree with the original poster when he said it's about lifestyle. Working independently over the web has enabled me more freedom than I could have ever dreamt. That alone makes a success story.
good stuff! this is a great motivational thread...i love reading success stories, drives me to work harder.
Hello, Can you leave some tips how to be sucessful in adsense? I am currently making about $18 / month but very happy. Thanks.
I made $4 in one day from adsense SuccesS!!! aside from that, I've built up $80 after being signed up for... 3 years?
Yeah. There's a ton of resources here. I'm almost at my 3rd month, and I've already made almost $500. Plus, it's growing every day. Just read up on things.
