Hello everyone I had a travel site december last year the site is PR4 then after some blog commenting to related topic. At this year latest PR updates my site PR was down to PR3 I dont know why, then I am also wondering if posting a about 1 sentence of your main site content to blogs and forum can harm your PR?

your PR is calculated by the number of back links to your site and not by your site's content...

what you should as yourself is: did last year i invested a lot of time in link building and this year i didn't?

because sometimes when a site dosen't get new links over a long period of time and the old links are crappy links or maybe even some of them were removed, than your PR drops...

No, it cannot hurt your PR, generally speaking.

Something to keep in mind is that Google often changes the way it calculates PR, and so your pages might go up or down depending on the changes (usually down). So, it's probably not something you did, but rather something you didn't do -- keep up with your SEO!

Its possible that many of the links which enabled you to gain PR4 have now lost their link juice from bad practices. In turn you would also lose their juice.

There are just to many factors and PR is not based on backlinks only, so don't let all these people fool you just because they heard it somewhere. I own dozens of websites that nobody besides Google knows about that are PR3 with 0 links. Quality content will give you PR, its just easier with backlinks.

So do you think my sites content quality is reduced since I get a sentence of it and post to blogs and forums?

blog post links are very problematic, google consideres them as spammy links most o the time, so not just that they don't reall help these days, if you posted links on a blog that is being used a lot as a link farm than those links might actually hurt your goals

link building is not just about quantity...

PR drop is natural. Don't get too concerned about it. For as long as your ranking remains good, you're doing fine.

most of the website also experienced what you have experiencing right now, so its normal. All you have to do is to double your hard work in building your quality and related backlinks to boost your pr.

More than likely what has happened is that back prior to Dec you had been posting on blogs and forums and gotten your site to PR4. But as is almost always the case w/ blogs, forums, and article submission sites... once your posts move from the recent activity pages (home page on blog, recent articles pages on forums and submission sites) to the archives, those pages where you posted frequently get de-indexed unless they obtained backlinks from other indexed sites while on the 'recent' activity pages.

If the page that links to you is de-indexed, you lose credit for the link. This is why blog posting/commenting, forum posting, and article submission as a link development technique requires that you continue to post just to maintain the same PR and rankings. They are kind of high maintenance link development techniques. If you stop then your PR and rankings will typically drop due to the older pages getting archived and subsequently de-indexed.
