Yes, you can earn good money fast, via working at freelance sites. However, you can get work at freelance sites even if you have no especial skills. For example: you can get data entry jobs that require no skills of any kind.
I know you asked for suggestion about money, however, why don't you consider using free hosting where you can test your script online and develop it further until you can afford a domain? (assuming of course, that you don't already have webspace). You could also go to the services forum here under B/S/T and do some work, perhaps forum posting?
Since you have coding skill,you can better use it to earn $$. After you get $$,you can buy the domain.
