Well I will go with Reliance BIG TV as I used BIG TV and Dish TV so far and honesly BIG TV have best picture quality and sound quality with component Out which only available in BIG TV only and you can ensure their quality by going any shop which sells all DTH connection watch demo on LCD and you will get idea why I am saying BIG TV is best. Also you fotgot to Sun Direct and Videocon's upcoming D2H.
Why don't you add "none of the above" as a poll option, as i have tried almost all the above and found none up to the mark, they lack at least in one feature (or service) or the other!
Well DTH is mean for viewing Digital Quality and also rip off Cable operators so it's popular for this only, we can expect extra features. Honestly most of us people don't like Active Services and MOD, Agree?

If I talk about my self, I need mainly three channels, Discovery, National Geo Graphy and history. Few good news channel, and some time sports. My wife needs channels like Startplus (Idiot Ekta kapoor ), Zee, Sony, music channels...
Well That's cool! I am from Surat and using BIG TV and Dish TV right now. If you want to best picture quality then you would go for BIG TV without any doubt. After your free period you would need to pay only Rs 210/Month to get all channels which you want and as a Gujju I know what we needs as almost 90% time TV used by ladies at home on Star Plus and other channels.
Yes but it wouldn't be good for Non South Indians users as their Add-on Pack is very costlier then any DTH like if you want to see English Movie+ Hindi Movie channels including few Gec then you need to pay more money. Also Sports channels are too costly.
i agree Sun DTH is the best mate but i would go for TATASKY for their customer support and good picture quality.. Sun DTH have good video quality but poor sound clarity.. I have both Tata Sky and SUN DTH i think you know this Sam
Yup, Tata Sky is the Best !! ( T for Tata n T for Trust) The picture quality is superb (DVD quality) and Sound is also superb as I enjoy it totally in a 5.1 channel Home theater. Customer Care of Tata is also very nice and talks very politely. And its service is fast. Like if you want a new channel ryt now you will get that at the same time only. No need to wait for 24 hours to activate any channel. - Digital -
yes customer support is more important SUN DTH lags here they won't even pick the call.. you can't even reach the ring of their telephone it 'll always say busy... its the worst customer support i have ever seen... but you can do online in SUN DTH also...
There is another great advantage in TATASKY... They will debit the amount from your account on daily basis so that if you wanna see a channel for today only you can subscribe for today and you can unsubscribe the next day they will charge you for that one day only... this service is all we need in DTH SUN DTH provide monthly services only i donno about other DTH services...but TATASKY has this feature i'll include ESPN/Starsports to watch EPL matches in the weekend alone and will unsubscribe they 'll charge me for those two days only... its a great feature .. i love tata sky
