Well for one thing, IE8 is infinitely better than IE7, I still use both IE and FF.

I'm not sure...If IE8 allows plug-ins, it will be perfect!

Well I see now that IE8 is a better version than the previous one. When will windows make it compulsory for all users to use IE7 or IE8. I hate IE6 as does not support some of my sites whatever I do. Plus with me being a css newbie I can only work with min IE7. Go IE8 :)

That will never happen. Microsoft has already been fined $2 billion dollars for such past activities
With that thought, you will always be a newbie. Anyone who only uses IE will never advanced to current methods, much less advanced ones.

If we're using pirated WindowsXP, can we download IE8 without Mocrosoft detecting we're using pirated Windows ?

To be honest, I have not tried the new internet browser but I think I would stick with Firefox as I have to deal with many extensions and I dont think I.E. has an option for this

FF is really slow, takes more than 300 MB RAM on my computer. Haven't tested out IE8 though.

IE has poor security, several days ago my pc was infected by trojan. I didn't know that. I logged into my online bank and that was message asking me to type a eight security codes from card (card to confirm a money transfers), but I noticed 2 codes was used before. That's was strange for me!
I logged to bank via Google Chrome and there was no message asking me to type any code.

I suppose, because of IE is still very popular and rather unsecure browser, you'll do better not use IE for online banking.

My only concern would be, is IE8 heavy on the memory? I'm not closing my doors on IE8, maybe in the near future.

personally i like google's new browser "chrome" its faster than ie8 and firefox.
ie8 has the garatee of a big company behind it but firefox has a large community base with plenty of addons
    i recommend firefox

Personally I use FF over IE... at time even Op... even though IE may be said to be more powerful ETC then FF my question would be security.. Microsoft is known no matter what to have lots of flaws in that area and fix them later

I will need to check this "chrome" out..

You know you`ve insulted many users on this forum with this statement.

IE8 is better than all previous versions. Maybe FF is better but it loads like crap.

    P.S: Chacun à son goût

Being better than crap is still crap.
It never ceases to amaze me that the best one can do is complain that FF starts up slower.

The reason FF starts slower than IE is because IE is preloaded into Windows, about 60% of IE is built into the OS and running before you ever call it up. It has an unfair advantage in that area but so what? You don't quit your browser constantly all day long and starting up happens once a day.

In any case, any browser is far, far more advanced than IE8 is and, from what Microsoft states they are planning for IE9, all of todays browsers are already more advanced than IE9 (except IE8 of course).

Wou, wou, wou! Who are you arguing with ? I don`t understand why most of FF lovers try to convice anyone that FF is better and they should use FF. You change your status from FF lover to IE hater :). Just like MAC/Linux users against Win. users. Everyone uses the browser that fits best for him/her.

P.S. read again the ps of my former post.
