Is that because you prefer 75% of $0 as opposed to 75% of $27?

    Think about it!

There is a reason why so many people use these exit pop ups and it's exactly as has been explained in this thread.

Though a visitor is moving back or closing a website doesn't mean he will not buy. If he is convinced, then he is in the buying cycle and he will find more information on the product and after getting enough information he will buy.

Most of the time affiliates don't promote products which offers commission under $15, this is not universal but most of them follow this thing.

Rather than offering popup discount, why don't you catch leads and try to sell them until they buy.

This is my opinion nothing personal.

    Best luck!

    Thanks for the great feedback!

Yes you are right, but it's statistically proven that only a small percentage of users 5-8% ever return to a website once they close the browser of click the back button.

On the other hand, offering a discount via popup converts 35-40% of the users. (Thats a lot of $27 commissions in addition to the normal price of $37)

For a $15 commission it’s not worth promoting a product, but keep in mind that this commission is extra - from people that are leaving and probably will never return. (its better to try and take at least $15 from a user now, instead of hoping that the user will be getting back for more than $15)

Thers a reason why most websites use these type of popups, check around, all serious products have them :)

I personally dont like them, i find them intrusive but they do increase income to both publishers and affiliates. After all, at the end of the day the most important thing is the total amount earned:)

Catching leads is a good idea to improve conversion; I will sure consider implement it and see how it goes :)

    Thanks
    Rachel
