Just saw Wizard of the OZ for the first time

but not the orginal verison. I was looking for something about dark side of the moon

That's so funny, I saw the title of this thread and I was going to tell you that you needed to watch it with Dark Side of the Moon

 

I've never seen it, not once. One day I will (my daughter has seen it though). Btw., there was some "blooper" in there. While they were filming a guy hung himself in the forrest where they were shooting, and a few seconds of the movie show him hanging from the tree in the background.

 

Even with that, i have to say it is a good movie. Consdier the time that movie was made

Nowaday movie suck...even with all the money and computer. I just saw "Alexander" in the morning. There was a sence that a soilder was daring Alexander to do something, he said something like, Do you have the "ball" to do it...what kind of script is that.....

 

Yeah, amazing what they did in the 30s already. There is another movie from that time I've seen, "The thief of Baghdad", which had some amazing effects considering it was from the 30s as well.

My 4 year old saw most of it for the first time the other day. She loved it, wasn't scared at all.

wizard of oz is supposed to be a commentary on some monetary policy during the 30's or something. in the book, the slippers were silver not ruby. there was some sort of debate of a gold standard or silver standard *shrugs* who knows what that is all about
