I would like to offer a logo and Mascot contest . I would like you to create a logo+mascot for an online brain teaser games site. The site name is Qwizzly.com and it will contain math games, thinking games, word games and other brain teasers. About the logo- since the site is about brain teaser games i want it to be contained of the site name+ an Owl which represents wisdom and knowledge. I would like the owl to be 3D animated and have some human features ( glasses proffered). The mascot will be used in the games so it needs to have ability to do serious/disappointed faces and smiling /happy faces, that means that you will have to illustrate it. Ended time May 25th EST
Just to be clear, what exactly do you need? You mention both 3D modeling/animation and illustration in your post but they are seperate disciplines. Do you want a 3D model created, textured and rigged with animation controls or do you want a character drawn and then redrawn in multiple poses/facial expressions as vector images or painted art?
initial design and a few font ideas... instead of glasses i've tried a pince-nez shaped like the "q" in the logo text. EDIT: sorry for the typo. will fix in later submissions. qwizzly

i like the Q idea (as half glasses), the OWL should have 3D look, as a mascot it will communicate with the player during the game, i.e it will make happy face when the player win the game. as for the font, it look too simple...

Hi Guys, Thank you all for participating in my contest, here some comments (from my partners): Polycode – I don’t think we need a model ready for animation as we don’t have the ability to make animations with it, so just a vector logo with some expressions examples would be fine. #10 blankeyecue – i don’t like, too flat, too amateur #12 cl3fty – I really like the drawing ability, I think the owl is good and I like the different expressions, I don’t like the Q as the glasses on the face – it just looks stuck there like “what am I gonna do with the Q – oh yeah lets stick it on the owls face!â€. Except for that its really a good option. #13 zyndtel – NO. #14 logorice - I guess that’s my favorite – very clean lines , nice and simple way of making expressions (just different eyes and moving the wings). I’m not sure I like the owl as the Q - but can live with that. Also the font is not very original or distinct but still catchy. #15 - nwsn3twrkshp – don’t like, amateur. P.S - i got some PMs about new designers that one to take place, therefor i will postpone the ended time to May 30th
